It's all as intended. LWN discussed the river thing, and the forced spawning is really because - what's the alternative? The hives need to spawn somewhere, so they have to be able to spawn in places that aren't optimal. We won't make a situation where infestations just magically become small if the room they start in is small.

Can you please post the Player.log file from the gameplay session when this was generated? If you started the game again it'll be wiped.

I believe I fixed this not long ago; perhaps it's an old savegame.

Wow, I've never seen that, it doesn't happen on my machine and nobody's reported it. Looks really annoying though!

Nothing changed about box-selecting.

You can see in the video sometimes the box does appear where intended, then vanish and reappear. I suspect there's just something wrong with your mouse that is more obvious when box selecting. Like the button is clicking and releasing unintentionally. Try another mouse!

I think they should preferentially avoid dropping on any roof, if there is an available spot within the drop radius.

If there is no such spot, they still need to drop on a roof.

Don't worry about this bug, I think we fixed it already recently. Thanks for reporting.

Hey Sky thanks for posting. Unfortunately the log is filled up by garbage produced by mods, so it doesn't include the grammar trace at all.

What language are you playing in?

Can you post a log without mods?

This appears to be a unique issue; I've never seen that before.

Can you try updating your video card drivers and see if that helps?
