You can choose your body shape. The clothes, of course, will change during the game. There are 5 shapes planned: fat, thin, hulk, male normal, female normal. The first two work with either sex.

(edit: hulk is unisex if you really want it to be)

Players may decide their own answers to some of these questions. That's the beauty of story-generating games :).

I'd put the last name in normal caps, but this is actually a pretty darn clever idea. I like how you don't try to explain everything.

DF will be hard to approach; they've been working on that sim for over 10 years and they spent no time on graphics. It's probably won't get quite to that level in the same way as they do (e.g. tracking whether your left sock is dirty). However, I think RimWorld will definitely rival DF in terms of experience quality, especially when you consider how the AI Storytellers will affect everything. And everything you mentioned could very well get into the game.

Splitting repair out is easy on my end. I worry a bit about micromanagement; it adds another column to the overview screen. However, I think it makes sense.

Yes, 200k was actually passed Friday evening :D The PayPal has 30k in it right now, post-fees.
