Hi,

I'm really bummed that I can't play the game so I made a bit of research. I could get it to work on a 2012 MacBook Air which sports Intel HD Graphics 4000 (but it's not mine I can't keep it...).

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Intel_graphics_processing_units), the HD 3000 supports OpenGL 3.3 and DirectX 10.1, and the 4000 goes up to OpenGL 4.1 and DirectX 11. I'm assuming Unity uses OpenGL on Mac OS X. Does anyone know if this new version of RimWorld uses any features of OpenGL that are exclusive to version 4+? Any way that could be an option to disable somewhere?

Thanks!

Bugs / [M|0.1.334] Can't start new game - weird colors
January 27, 2014, 06:26:25 PM
Hi,

I am getting weird colors and I can't play at all when I start a new game (see screenshot). I tried all resolutions, fullscreen on and off, normal or great graphic setting, on an external display or the integrated display, it always does the same thing.

My config :
MacBook Air 2011
Mac OS 10.9.1
1.8 Ghz Intel Core i7
4GB DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000

Also: it used to work fine in the previous versions.

Thanks for your help!

Bugs / Save file in Caches on Mac OS X
December 15, 2013, 01:39:35 PM
I just lost all my precious save files!! That's more than 100 hours of gameplay and 4 awesome fortresses in random mode  :'(

According to the wiki, the save files on Mac OS X are stored in ~/Library/Caches, which is a CACHE folder used to store TEMPORARY files, and is emptied regularly by the system and by cleanup apps such as CleanMyMac. I just did a cleanup of my Mac, and opened RimWorld, and all my data is gone... I checked my Time Machine backup, of course cache folders are not backed up...

The correct folder to save app data on Mac OS is ~/Library/Application Support/YourAppName. This won't be deleted accidentally, and will be backed up by Time Machine or other backup services!
