To clear this up, short circuts in walls are a random event determined by the AI once you are a few days in(im about 107 at the moment). When this short circut happens in releases -=All=- of the power from the system. Meaning all that batteries I have storing energy, the more batteries the bigger the explosion. This is why if i can seperate the areas of power i will have smaller booms, less fire damage and better control over this.

This is would be a simple idea to implement. When you click on a door have a option of keeping door open, closed, only colonists, or everyone. Would not be to hard to implement.

Although i do think this a good idea, the author of this game already talked about this and has said no. Mabey if we get some followers he would changed his mind

I have had the same idea, i came to this forum to talk or suggest this idea. I put this in the new tech Section

Although this may be hard to do, have levels of the land. Not 3D but where you zoom in and out by the mouse wheel to get another level of the map. Like if you where to zoom underground, you could make a few underground buildings and if you zoom above ground, for example, you could make bridges or a place for the colonists to get from building to building without having to trek on the ground. The max levels i am talking about like this should be 3, the middle level being the level we have now and then having a level below and above it. I have considered this may take some time and be a bit hard on the CPU itself, but if you only render one level at a time, it should theoretically work out.

This is my first post, if there is something wrong with it or if it is in the wrong category on the from msg me. Thankyou

Edit: I do understand this is in alpha, i am able to understand the waits in between the updates.

A new idea:

have a wall that is less expensive and does not carry electricity.

The reason i say this is because my colony is getting to a point, and needs such a big battery supply, when i have a short circuit in the wall i have a very big boom, like 40 blocks wide big. And so to cope with this i have to  have a limit and multiple areas to separate the electricity areas. I may be able to do that but then i have gaps inbettween areas that i dont really want there, so a wall like i mentioned above ^^^^^^ would be very helpful

The idea for tranquillizer darts if an even better idea, and if you mabey if you could modify turrets to use tranquillizers, that would be better,

Overall Tranquillizers should be implemented, responding would be great

Palandus: this is a good idea and all but what i was going for was something that you could lay down on the ground, not something that a colonist uses.

The idea for the Testicular may be a funny idea for some of the older fan group, you still have to consider the younger fan group.

Idea to incapacitate these wonderful raiders alot quiker. Make a bear trap, not saying it has to be like this, that incapacitates the raiders alot more quikly, the reason i say this is because i would like more colonist but having a hard time colecting enough with my way of defense(mine alley ;) )
This would be something that should cost alot to make so people cant just spam these around the map. The research shoulnt be that hard. As i said before this does not have to be bear traps, it can be something different. Thank you

This is not categorized in under the Research area of the forums because I felt like it belonged here. If there is anything wrong with it just let me know. Let me get straight to it. This would be a defensive "block" that you would place in walls. It would be a "peep" hole where a colonist is able to shoot from without taking damage from direct shots. But lets say a the gun, in the hole, the colonist is shooting from takes enough damage from raiders shots, the gun will blow up in the colonist face. The damage he takes is up to the creator.

This building, or addon to the building, should be a research item, and not given to you in the game right away.

This "peep" hole ( not knowing what to call it just yet) is a defensive measure for the colonist, for those who have alot of colonists, don't what them dead, and have alot of guns to shot.

From a programmers point of view, as far as i know, this shouldn't be super hard to implement unlike my last post.

Thank you for reading my post and taking consideration to it, i do plan to contribute alot of ideas to this because I think so highly of the game and what it could come out to be.
