What's all this "Finally a working brain mod!" malarky?! I made a brain mod that works fine ages ago!
Don't be upset. :)

Your mod did work on alpha 7, then alpha 8 came out and it became incompatible, that's all. New humanoid races also changed the game a bit. Adding to this, you were away for some time. No big deal, it's just that he made one that worked while yours wasn't at the time. There's people here  that are still asking for some a7 mods to be updated even today.

 ;D Rimtroopers vs Jaffas  ;D

Both factions met up in my map and started a shoot out. As soon as wounded started popping, they became more busy hauling these guys to take as prisoners and leaving than actually fighting, SIDE BY SIDE kidnapping each others mates.  ;D

The only compatible mod with other races is the natural surgery, which adds brain, nose and ear interventions.

If Arrean makes this compatible with natural surgery, and Elstrages mods it to welcome the other races (jaffas, norbals and rimtroopers) we could get the complete package.

Perfection would be making this compatible with norbals, rimtroopers and jaffas, in

natural arms, legs,
and the artificial organs. These are great.

Mods / Re: Faction Relations to each other

Reading this, I've just remembered this also happens in The Sims. You set up families around the map and they come and go visit you.  :)

It could be nice to see visitors from our other previously created colonies  :)

Mods / Re: [Mod Request] Statues of dead pawns.

Great feedback, it kind of inspired me to make a collage of pics with something I thought.. but it would be nice to rotate statues too, at least sideways, with the equipment showing (weapon or tool). Statues for bad guys would be nice as well lol ("Bad guy - nailed 3 of us with his M-24 before we torn him to pieces".  ;D ), but the inscription should be anything you'd wish to put in. P.S. Looking at this now, I think my base stones should be more polished, cubic with a flat base, like greek columns) and the caskets in granite, (grey colour).

Mods / [Mod Request] Statues of dead pawns.

Statues of fallen comrades.

Could be done in the statue workbench. Great for a great hall decoration...  :)

You might need to make a loooong path for the effects to work on them, before they reach a door and destroy it.  :)

Hi edb, how you doing?

I'm writing you here wondering if you are thinking any time soon to update your mod in order to work with the other races. You know, the tab order when picking pawns? I recall some time ago you said this was related to your mod.. so, just wondering.  :)

Cheers!

P.S.

There's an option for this.  Go to Menu -> Interface Options and click the "Use Smaller Icons" checkbox.  I decided not to auto-adjust the size just because I figured that everyone likely has their own opinion about how many is too many.

Very useful!

It's better to freeze them. Don't wanna set their valuable gear on fire now do you?

Speaking of that, I've seen pawns with hypothermia and initial heart stroke at the same time lol. Some visitors took shelter in my geothermal room that was around 60c  ;D coming from an outside temp of -70c (icesheet dome).

But since I play a lot in the icesheet, I'm used to frozen corpses and food..  ;D what's funny though sometimes an attack starts and seconds later they're retreating, with some pawns dying along the way of hypothermia  ;D. Cold has its advantages.. but playing with fire seems interesting too!

Anyone thinking about frying raiders, this is your chance, apparently  ::)

Let them in.... close the door.... heat the place.... and... (figure out the rest)  ;D

Funny the amalgamation of languages here. English is not my language either  ;D

It would be good to avoid cabin fever. This door would isolate a prison camp where prisoners would have an atrium and their indoor shacks to sleep in. I mean, making them use at least two different spaces - one for food and open space, and the other to sleep (even privately).  :)
