Something else no one's mentioned yet is the fact that you're being melee'd.

Every gun takes x-amount of time to aim, regardless of how close the hostiles are, and when you get hit, the counter essentially resets. So if someone's hitting Jimmy Dean with a club, Jimmy Dean isn't shooting - he's just getting the hell beat out of him. On top of that, if Pork'n'Beans is shooting at the hostile that's attacking Jimmy Dean, there's a decent chance that he's also going to hit Jimmy Dean, too.

So, as nuschler suggested, you'll want a defensive line. If that, for some reason, fails or you're being mortared, just be ready to multi-task - if Jimmy Dean is being or about to be melee'd, try to keep him moving while Pork'n'Beans shoots at the hostile pursuing Jimmy, but try to make sure the path Jimmy Dean takes keeps him out of fire.

Very unrealistic.

Who gets a negative mood from drinking coffee? ;)

I could not imagine surviving colder temp areas without this mod, now that I've used it.

Thanks!

I really like the ideas behind this!

Please keep expanding on scenarios, these are fantastic. :)

As others have said, thank you for this!
Makes it loads easier to try to determine what to put in my game, without 1.) having to open every single mod and 2.) without having to say "That looks aweso-... ****, A7."

General Discussion / Multiplayer - how?
January 03, 2015, 07:25:46 PM
First, then isn't to begin a debate on whether there SHOULD or SHOULD NOT be multiplayer, so please don't derail into that. This is a discussion about my question, not about your preference on the existence of the root of my question. :)

On-topic.
On the Kickstarter page, when asked about multiplayer in the FAQ, Tynan says, "It's possible; and if the community asks for it consistently I'll gladly put it in."

Now, my question - for Tynan and forum members' opinions:
How would this work or how would you like to see this work?

I apologize, but I'm confused - which additional mods are actually included? I assumed it was those listed under Full Pack, but the Nexus Mod page says Project Armory isn't included.

So... if I want all those mods, do I install each individual one separately - as well as this - or does this actually include all that are listed under Full Pack?

EDIT:
Read the installation guide attached to the file. Says all are installed. You should update your Nexus Mod page. ^^

I think that instead of a gradual and arbitrary degradation, a loss of skill should be the result of extreme physical and/or mental trauma, and the corresponding recovery process.
I can get behind this. For example, it makes sense that, if you're shot in the arm, you're not going be quite as good of a shot without therapy and training.

I agree - I think if a part of your body can be destroyed without immediately killing you, there should be some way of replacing it, even with less efficiency.

You should lose progress from one level to the next, but I agree that you should never completely lose levels, let alone MULTIPLE levels.

It's simply not possible to combat the degrade with any effectiveness, and it makes any specialized pawns - like the assassin - completely worthless (can't do many other jobs and, after a few days, is a mediocre shot as well).

I agree. If we're deconstructing, there shouldn't be the possibility of a collapse. Collapses should come from attacks and being careless (such as mining too large of an area with no supports).

On a related note to deconstructing, we should be able to select to deconstruct floors. Had some wooden floors left behind for a building I tore down (luckily without anyone being crushed), but had to rebuild there because I couldn't remove the floors and they looked funny in the middle of nowhere.

Mods / Re: Ungrateful mod-user rant/mod-maker hype

Bitching about bitching.

But, on topic, I do think there's a difference between "this should be considered because of -insert reasons-" and "this needs changed and I won't use the mod until you do."

One is constructive criticism, the other is an ungrateful twerp.
I know absolutely nothing about modding, I'll be honest, and it makes me all the more appreciative of the people that do - you make an already great game into something even better. If I see something out of place, I'll explain why I think that way, but I understand that my opinion is just one of many and that many - if not most - might disagree with me.

But to be like "I'm not using it until you fix it," is just childish.
