Turning off the Power for the recharge bases has the effect you want.

Robots who would return to recharge stay where they are, similiar to the solar Flare or EMP effect.

same here, though it was an animal from GeneticRim which should not spawn from any incident or quest at all.

I accepted the quest to host two animals, which never arrived.

This would be an interesting approach to turret upgrades. Different ability of Friend-Foe recognition.

If the turrets truly only used radar and/or thermal imaging, they would shoot at anything that fits the target parameters.
i.e. it moves, it looks vaguely human

You're right this is a really good story.
Funny, tragic and all in between.

But the thing about stories is, that it only stays a great story, when you can tell it like this :

Do you remember that ONE time, when .. those stupid traders burned down my base ?

The author of the thread wants it to stay that way. Because the other kind of story would b

Don't you hate it, every f***ing time those traders try to help me and  shoot at something, the nearly burn down my base and get themselves killed ..

Did you see that prison of those guys ? .. Sure the cut of both my legs .. but man even Prison was more comfortable than our leaders private quartes.

Something I thought would have been a mod by now :

An Alert or a GUI overlay for the Pawn : ETA of Caravans. See how long it takes them to their current destination without switching to world view.

Use of the Keyboard to move the selection bar between Mods in the Modlist.

Cursors, PageUp and Down, Top, Bottom. Enter or Space to Select/Deselect.

I would say, they don't protect you per say, they protect themselves and as long as you are no threat to them, the don't attack you.
Declining relations translates in you growing over time and becoming a threat to the cluster.

Traders in addition should either keep away from you as the cluster exists or get stupid ideas about the cluster.

Last option. The cluster starts expanding.
