General Discussion / Re: POLL: Alpha4e difficulty

It might be cool to be able to see what the ai is thinking in debug mode, perhaps even save it to a log which we could post in these types of threads. It might help you understand better whats happening during a game.

Your hoppers should be against your nutrient paste machine.

Here is an explanation on how it works.
Colonists don't eat food out of the hoppers.

Doh! Thanks for your help. Perhaps it should say so in the description of a hopper in the game.

I've played 3 times and all end the same.

In this one i had some crops but got hit by a blight, still there are potatoes in the hoppers and berry bushes to harvest. I don't think they should starve.

Please can you have a look and tell me what i'm doing wrong. Much appreciated.

General Discussion / colonists starving themselves
January 28, 2014, 03:11:57 PM
Each game is the same, i have crops in the fields, i have potatoes in the hoppers with priority set, i have nutrition dispenser with power and batteries but my colonists refuse to eat and just starve themselves until they go mad and leave.

What do i have to do? any help please.

My natural instinct is to use the guns to shoot the cows for food but you can't seem to do that?
