Explosives can easily blow up prematurely. That'll teach those raiders to grenade spam me.

Two better words: Muffalo Burger.
If we make enough we can open a McMuffalo.
He knows where it's at! We can capitalise! cook up some Rimworld Fried Boomrat while we're at it!
I suppose you could say... They explode with flavour.

I agree that drones would fit better then space-bugs though.
But we could explain away the spacebugs and others by saying it was a "Genetic experiment gone wrong"
I would love to see a Giant ant vs Giant Termite war escalate to your Rimworld

I thought Tynan said no aliens. So, no bug hive. Borg Drones instead.

"Hey, Bob! Awesome coat! Where did you get it?"
"I got it off Mike."
"Didn't Mike die in the last raid?"
"Exactly."

Rebels: Outlaws organized against a society.
Pirates: Not-so-Righteous outlaws looking for a profit by any means.
Rebels are the ones to blow up the death Star, pirates are the ones that give them the weapons to do it.

Look, can't you people just compromise? Buy a Robot from traders, disassemble it, copy its programming and make 5 new ones out of the materials available. They don't make a new Operating system for each and every computer. Every one that has Windows 7 has the same programming. Same thing with Droids. Copy + Paste does not require comprehension, as shown by millions of essays/papers/articles/homework in general worldwide.

Does rubble/slag provide cover for colonist?
Indeed. Raiders will often try to take cover behind them during early game skirmishes.

Well, it's not really about importance or usefulness, it's that they usually consider it below themselves. I doubt an Assassin or a Noble would do any cleaning or manual labour. For firefighting, when your colony is on fire and you have a chance of dying, you'd probably pitch in too.

No. We beat the bastards yellow and blue, drag them inside and force them to work in our mines, and punish them hard for the slighest offence.
+1. I love this idea.

regarding the faraday cage, I would like the UNDERGROUND areas to not be affected by the solar flares as earth and rock are fairly good shielding materials for EMF

Exterminators- A group of Daleks mercenaries come up to you with an offer. They are tight on cash so they are willing to kill every single Boomrat and Squirrel near your base. 15-20 cash per kill.
Secret Identity- The guy you rescued from a crashed pod was actually the notorious pirate Yem-Pah. The officials that shot his ship down are looking for him. Do you give him up for a reward or face waves of Imperial guards? Of course he could help you with black market ops and weaken the pirates and raiders that have been a thorn in your side for weeks.

I hope?Quote from: Cyclops on December 03, 2013, 09:35:35 PMWell, I wouldn't go that far. Maybe no pregnancies, but in a world where you can grow soldiers in artificial maturation chambers, You can grow children.
Then please explain the pregnant courtesan in my current fort and the multiple pregnant men I've seen going by.
By no pregnancies, I meant that there won't be any "Birth giving" involved. Just the trait and its effects. I suppose it depends though. I mean, if someone who's 7 months pregnant arrives in my colony, I'd be willing to wait 2 months
