Perfect! You could have it on a timer according to threat level. The more severe the longer your cooldown and observation only period lasts. We have a winner.

I was actually wondering what happened to fertilizer pumps. I play almost exclusively on tundra and ice maps. Pumps would help me fertilize an interior space to grow things. I'm almost always resorting to cannibalism now a days with no crops. Hydroponics is not a viable large scale operation, is slow and my plants die a lot anytime power is cut. Adding to the starvation and frustration of my play through.

Like the borg?! They come to assimilate your colonists and their AI Core technology. The only weapons that are effective? Triple rocket launcher and the high caliber sniper rifle.

The wheelchair thing is a good idea but how would colonists navigate sand on desert maps? They'd be limited to paved paths.

OH NO!!! A SOLAR FLARE, EVIL SHIP CRASH, TRIBE, PIRATE RAID, WITH TWO MANHUNTER PACKS IN A DRY THUNDERSTORM WITH TOXIC FALLOUT!!! What terrible luck your colonists have. Oh and look at that, a power conduit mysteriously failed blowing a hole in your front door while also setting everything on fire.

That Kelian AI storyteller is a d*ck. You thought Randy Random was bad  ;)

Yes I was. It was just a sandbox type play through for me. I used it for the insane amount of gold the furniture took and the amount of plasteel I needed to harden the base from normal granite/sandstone. Those weren't actually my doing, not sure how those packages got there  :o

Oddity I noticed today while playing.

Sandstone raw - 400
Slate raw - 500

Sandstone wall - 490
Slate wall - 455?

Sandstone after manufacturing gains 90hp but slate loses 45? Is this intended or is a tweak needed?

Looking forward to this one. I haven't had it yet but I had the similar volcanic ash event and that one lasted 30 or more days it seemed. It sucked too.

This is from a previous build, not 11, but it is still the most epic game I've played to date. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Randy Random is a <Insert bad offensive language here>. Fighting went room to room as soon as the perimeter defenses fell. I called in aid but they were chopped down pretty fast. My two snipers suffered headshots and head injuries in the initial defense. It was the most brutal fighting I've had to date. My colony survived the attack and lingered but with only five able bodied colonists from fourteen, it slowly sputtered out and the last them died of disease, starvation and mental collapse. This was when the ridiculous amount of saw a corpse penalties stacked and gave huge negative mood numbers.

Tynan took part in this siege, see if you can find him. He was the primary door kicker...
