Weird, i haven't gotten chickens yet so i don't know if they do hatch into chickens. I would save that save game if it is a real bug. Although i wouldn't know that.

Normally, and this is how it works, chickens will ALWAYS lay eggs once they are ready fertilized or not, now, if a rooster fertilized them, the progress bar will keep growing until 100%, in which then baby chickens/roosters will appear, in high numbers :O

He either has a bug, as you said, or perhaps his eggs are unfertilized ?

Hmm, what would someone consider as a "Competent AI"?
Just to see opinions.

Is strategic, can plan the best spot to attack from, and would attack on multiple fronts, and knows his enemy, acknowledges what turrets do, which colonists have the strongest weapons, which are weak to meele ( sniper rifle ) etc.

I will have to censor this, but this is what happens when i see a couple of scythes:

''Oh boy, there they are, those douchebags that have a giant ****ing railgun again, with my luck im going to have to reload due to a headshot''

Do they attack tamed animals? I'm wondering if I could have some, say, tamed animals go out and haul stuff back into base, while my colonists stay inside snorting Joywire...

Manhunters only attack humans unless attacked first.

I've found that no matter how few enemy groups there are, the same frequency of raids will happen, except the Storyteller will just choose between the remaining enemy groups as the source of the raid/seige.

This means that if you could somehow make all the planets factions friendly you'd still get the amount of raids, the only difference is it will always be the mechanoid faction raiding you.  ;)

Lolz, doesn't that mean having more enemies is better ?

So my playstyle is largely pacifistic, i never assimilate people into my colony i just treat and release and on doing that generates some good karma. SO is it possible to stop getting raids all together with enough effort into improving relations?

Pirates will never become neutral or friendly towards you, always at -99 negative i believe.

60+ Colonists!? And here I was thinking my 10 colonist base was successful.

Right?
Don't get how people end up with soo many colonists. Never have understood it. Special breeding programs in their basements with thrumbols? Crimes against nature right there.... sickos lol

"excuse me ma'am, dare I ask how you keep your horns so shiny and clean?"

Possibly due to them taking anyone in, while perhaps you, me, and some other people are picky ;)

Ideas / Re: Hydroponics is *far* too ineffective.
September 10, 2015, 11:40:47 PM
Perhaps... hydrophonics could be made to grow crops that the planet's soil doesn't accept, some really valuable crops could really dump up the hydrophonics's value :O

Will likely break with mods that introduce genders other than male, female or other.

I got the reference !

( its so usefull being able to see my animals tab better now )

I am pretty sure that capybaras cannot, as I have never seen one in testing nor A12. As for the intelligence, I have done it on the basis of their capabilities, i.e Advanced = All, Intermediate = Obedience and Release etc.

Well, yes, but i have 3 tamed boars and all i can train them on is the ''master'' thing and release :O

The capybaras were in the jungle, if i recall correctly.

wild boars are advanced intelligence, and can be trained for everything. Now if the are juvenile boars they can not be trained to haul or rescue, until they become adults. It is a size limit.

Hmm... i see, i need to recheck their sizes then.

General Discussion / Re: Joy Optimization
September 09, 2015, 07:51:22 PM
If you are talking about joy itself, one of those iron pins will do for early on, and a chess table ( which nobody uses >_> ) later on does the trick, since they also automaticly do joy activities like visiting graves and cloud watching, if you are talking about the mood changes about joy, it doesn't make sense people get lack of joy when recovering from wounds or an infection -_-
