General Discussion / Re: Purchasing Rimworld
January 27, 2016, 05:59:10 AM
30 bucks isn't too much at all.. I paid more than that in kickstarter - and i've had more fun with this - and COUNTLESS hours of gameplay from this than in almost any other game.
30$ to much.. Pft.

määh, I just really prefer to have everything on steam, so i dont have to navigate my computer each time I want to play a new game. Steam is a hella lot faster and convinient to use is all.

General Discussion / Re: Purpose of the "world"?
January 27, 2016, 05:43:49 AM
Currently the overworld is just there as a "base". If you've ever played Dwarf Fortress, you know that the map there makes sense; If you settle near another settlement, they may pay you a visit and such - a necromancer from a nearby tower may come and raid you etc. Where you place yourself matters in that game.

As of now, the over-world does little else than to give you the freedom to choose what form of biome to live in, and give you a bit more of a feeling of control, and possibly a sense of "there's actually a world out there" feeling. But as for actual gameplay, there doesn't seem to be much to it; Yet. It has the potential, but it's up to where Tynan wants to play it.

This mod is great. Mainly the brusier-hedgehog. I can't wait to combo this with the upcoming alpha 12.

I would say that I love the graphic for the brusiers but I feel like the aspect ratio is out a little bit. Like it should be a tiny bit shorter or longer. Feels like it's stretching the graphic or something. I could be wrong.

Loving the mod. Keep up the good work. Need more mods like this that are just plain fun.
I actually think that was a deliberate-aesthetical choice.
Can't wait to have this mode patched to alpha 12! :D

Well, problems arise agian; Built a Electronics table, trying to make Electronic Chips, I have steel bars (87) and sand (105) - but I can't make any chips - it just says "not enough materials)?
#22
I don't mind hardcore mods ^^ Thanks.
#23
I see, but it says I need concrete to make a Smelting furnace, which I suppose I need to build steel bars - which I need to build researching table?
#24
Alright.. How the heck do i build a concrete mixer? Can't find it in any tab?

Ideas / Re: "Landscape" Mode

I guess, skimming through this; Having this only available to basebuilding modes would be fine?

While it makes sense, they're still wired to your nerve system, so - they should get destroyed and they should affect the pain levels atleast.

Many MANY games "depend" on mods
Fallout 3
Elder scrolls
^ played these like 10 hours without mods, but now, everytime I come back, i look up mods for 2 days straight before even playing the games.
there's nothing wrong with being mod dependent, I even applause it because more often than not, mod developers will see what the developers will not, and often be much more innovative - with the right tools.

Do you actually have him behind some sort of cover or is he in the open?

Ideas / Re: Natural Tree Spawn > Turbine > New games
January 06, 2015, 06:05:20 AM
I do agree with trees, because it's a wind power problem, the only way to have wind power in any kind of treeie biome is to fill the area with concrete (or any other floor) which I'd rather not do :/
