Very nice thread, I thought for a while human leather prices were very alpha and unbalanced, but after seeing that link i dont think i can argue with what they cost

How the hell did you get 44 colonists in less than 6 years?

It takes me like, 3 years to get 15 colonists

Rimworld is highly randomized which makes each game fun, ive also had 20+ colonists before year 2 was over, and on my current game im getting nothing but 99 difficulty recruitment with only 6 pawns on year 2.

It also depends on your method of attacking and wether enemys will go down easier, like a longsword will hack off limbs and kill them, where as a quicker gladius will leave alot of nasty scratches leaving them in such pain they collapse

Broad-ranging design thinkover and ideas reprioritization pass. Also worked out starting designs for several feature collections

why has no one talked about this? what the hell does this even mean

Heart attacks? damn tynan getting real with it, gonna be hilarious watching an 87 year old raider spazm outside my gates

LOL longbows useless, trolling aside, longbows more often than not id say 80% of the time either, kill on hit, or take off limb that makes them either fall over or no longer able to aim reliably, this and pila is why tribals are so op when faced pawn to pawns.

I agree with you zand, hunting should be a highly rewarding and nutritional experience with leather a plenty, but not always needed for making meals while my chefs standing around

Ideas / Re: Rimworld and plumbing?

Water would not be complicated at all to add to game, well, of course besides all the new items, and a need system for water which is super complicated, besides that! all tynan would have to do is rename electricity to water, or water pressure, and it would work fine exactly how it is now, batteries could be double tile water towers, solar water distillers you get my point. (Pipes could even cost 1 metal, same as conduits)

So who else is super pumped about Animal hauling? im assuming a colonist goes out with an animal and can loot from a wide radius around the animal then takes it back to stockpile

Love the idea of vegetarian meals requiring multiple types to be better, And im all for vegetarian meals to be less of a buff so even out balance, since realy, the only thing that bothers me is theres no incentive to have a cook on a desert or ice biome map. (Excluding end game colonies with tons of silver to waste on expensive meat)

Ideas / Meatless Alternatives, Wheres my soy at?
July 25, 2015, 05:19:55 PM
A frequently talked about suggestion, thought id bring it up agian, Im sure were all tired of extremly unbalanced mods filling in the hole here.

SO, why isnt there a substitute for meat? really limits the game, especially in deserts, the cooks become useless and you might as well farm berries instead of wasting man power and electricity on meals.

We need vegetarian alternatives to our meals!

Here's a thought. If we can rescue downed animals (tame or wild) does that mean that there will be animal healthcare to?

Why stop there? lets incorporate animal happiness and it affects reproduction chance and eggs laying.
