Help / Re: Patsch problems.
August 30, 2016, 05:26:46 PM
Community Core Library has not yet been updated for A15.  I am working on it but it's not there yet.

Subsequently, no mod requiring CCL has been updated to A15 yet.  Some modders have taken code from CCLs codebase without giving proper credit so they can get their mods out sooner, but that is it.

There is no mod or way to do this currently.

Been asked and answered in the Redist Heat thread many times before.

Basically, if the number is  higher, does that mean it takes longer for things to happen?

Nope, it's mean.  The story teller can cause events at frequencies which would would violate "min".  "Mean" is an approximate value, not a hard limit.

To answer the second question, yes.  Higher values means longer time.

That basically sums it up.  Start a new thread and credit him as the original author.  If you already PM'd him then you've already satisfied that requirement.

Basically, you can do what you want with it.

Glad you got it working.  :)

And I'm not so much excited for other peoples mods as working as hard as I can to not work on updating CCL.  :D

FIX YER MOD!  :P

Start comparing your defs to core defs to see what you're missing.  For example, are you missing abstracts?

The drop-pod and hash issues are likely the result of a cascade error.  Something else is causing errors in other parts of the game engine.  It is quite common for errors to cascade in RimWorld.  You will likely have to enable mods one-by-one and restart each time to check for validity to find the culprit.

Help / Re: editing core defs

You don't need to copy the entire file, just the single def.  But yes, you need to copy the entire def to change a single value.

Outdated / Re: [A14] Community Core Library v0.14.3.1
August 29, 2016, 06:34:18 AM
Actually that may be CCLs fault.  I'll make sure to test it for the A15 release.  Please do file an issue report in our tracker so I don't forget.

Generally speaking list orders and priorities only affect what order they are shown in and have no gameplay effects.
#147
Based on that, not a clue.  What Def class are you talking about?  There are a couple Defs which use those or similar tags.

Generally speaking, however, they do exactly what they say.  They control the list "order" or "priority".

Mods / Re: What would make the game easier to mod?

I haven't tested it yet, but it looks like the game will automatically inject MapComponents into save games now.

They aren't broken per-say, but new ones need injection into an existing save.

Also note that changing anything about floors and terrain requires a new game or you will get the "sand bug".
