Alright, thanks for the clarification. It puts my mind at ease. I hate thinking I missed an opportunity.

It sucks, but obviously that's the drawback of early access.

You can recruit them with hospital mod.

Or just arrest them, penalty isn't steep and you can easily befriend them again.

General Discussion / How to prevent infestation.

1. Give Homeless Bugs Place to Live
When ai throw hives, it checks per square. This means if 50 square in your colony is overhead mountain and you have 150 square mined area outside of base, and ai throws 10 hives, only 3 hives spawn in your base.

2. Sweet Cold Death
Ai don't throw hives at spot that's temp below -17c.

This can backfire though, if you have 300 square mined area but only sleeping quarter is above -15c, ai will instead shove all of it into your ass.

3. Common Sense
Ai threw hive at your bedrooms and dinning room and everyone is slaughtered? Or you know, don't build essential facilities inside mountain, you knew they were going to spawn, they spawned and everyone is dead. Doing same thing and slaughtered over and over again isn't called "rng screwed you over", it's called idiocy.

Isn't uranium longsword supposed to deal the most damage?

I think uranium increase blunt damage and reduce sharp damage. It also take 1400 uranium to craft a sword, just not viable.

Challenge difficulty.

If you outnumbered attack snipers, launchers and gunners first. Pistol doesn't deal much damage and even melee users only carry gladius and knife which deal barely half of longsword. Also craft plasteel longsword asap with full leveled smith; damage 21 and 27 make huge difference because 27 damage on a leg insta kill pawn.

Edit : Actually, easiest would been steal shell, steal food or deconstruct mortar or all of it.

Thanks! All praise to Shinzy! That did it!
Not absolute. About 90/95% psychos. But someone has to be the victim right?
1 commonality was about 50% psychos. 10 almost worked, about 80% psychos.

You should add 100% ugly and abrasive and watch in joy as chaos erupts over Rimworld.

It seems base builder reduce chance for raid, but disease remain same and it's same pool as raid therefore you end up get more diseases. Similar problem with mechnoid raids, if you befriend every faction(except pirate) mech has extremely high chance to raid while if you piss off every faction mechnoids barely raid at all.

General Discussion / Re: Joy deprived? Why?
April 24, 2016, 02:52:17 AM
Add 4 hours of joy at each start and end of day. They'll go to work or sleep if they don't need joy anymore.

Also I don't think "full anything" schedule would be efficient. They'll probably go to work for an hour, then joy an hour, than work again... inefficient.

I think that you seem to be forgetting that you can play on larger or smaller maps.  Which naturally means that the number of geysers can change.  Still, even if you only have 3, the geothermal generators provide constant, reliable power so are always worth it.

I actually realized my map has 6 geysers, but 5 of they are near end of border where enemy spawn so I don't know if it's worth the risk.
#148
People seems forget that map contains about only 3 geysers , and it require research, geo' is obviously optimal except you'll probably never have enough geysers or building them is risky.
