Messages - A Friend

#16
Actually, I did a 40 page comic based on Rimworld for an art project for school along with some friends last year. Don't got a copy to show but I have an interest in continuing it digitally. Then again, I'm bogged down with another comic I want to do and other projects. So it's probably gonna be a long while before I could get to that.

As for the prints, don't have any plan on it yet (and I don't properly know how either) but I'll announce it if I do.

The Last of Us - Particularly the intro... it just...  :'(
Telltale's TWD Season 1 and 2 - Depression simulator.
Undertale - The music played on certain sad scenes in the game really got me good.
Homeworld - The beginning of the story's pretty sad. It felt pretty cold and lonely after the tutorial part.

QuoteClearing Something Up
Add too much detail and it starts getting ugly. Less is more.

QuoteA Beige Circle
It's a bland bowl of soup in a top down perspective. The lack of details isn't really noticeable in game and it gets the point across that compared to the others meals, it is, indeed: Simple.

QuoteCategorized Hideous-ness
I don't see the issue here, except maybe that the icons could be updated.

QuoteAscetics: Preferring to Eat Raw But Don't
I don't see how this relates to graphics but I've never encountered this before. I thought ascetics only care about their bedrooms.

QuoteMeat Chunks
Small animals = small meat graphics
Big animals (Cats and bigger) = big meat graphics.

Some nitpicking and other explaining crap I don't care about
That's pretty rude... and ironic.

Mods / Re: Rimworld Sprite Tutorial: [Animals]

Extra thicc outlines are necessary to make things look as vanilla like as possible, even if the texture isn't as detailed, it'll be okay as long as the outline is there.

Also some tips regarding weapon and item textures.
QuoteTextures doesn't necessarily need to be made in pixel sprites. Vectors can work just as well if not better. A single tile in game is 64x64, so people usually work in that area. But you can work on larger image sizes like 128x128 and the scale will be adjusted in game.

Here is a flamethrower that I made for example. I made it on a 320x320 canvas and just downscaled it later into 64x64 (I believe it's optional as you can adjust it through xml).

and general stuff
QuotePutting a 1% transparency black fill layer under your texture will prevent the white pixel artifacts appearing around your texture in game. The black fill is not visible in game.

Chop their legs off and send them to the time out room until they get over their addiction.
