Outdated / Re: [A14] Community Core Library v0.14.3.1

Any possibility of an ETA? Not gonna pretend I know anything about how Rimworld modding works, but I have done mods in the past for other games in another language, and I know it can be a bitch. Just wondering if we're looking at days or weeks

Would be nice to see something like liver damage and cirrhosis as a result of drug overdose

So, skimmed through the last few pages, is this mod in shape for A15, yet?

Would be neat to be able to administer regular thumps on the back of the head, or some medicine extracted from a plant (Poppies, for example)

What's to stop somebody from just spawning in a trillion of everything and dominating the market?
#126
Where can I find the A13 version?
#127
It looks so good, but I'm back on A13 'cause mods that no longer have authors.
#128
Playing A13 because CombatRealism and CR Defense aren't up to a14 yet, is the A13 version of this mod all good with that? It just occured to me after reading through some posts on CR that this mod may have issues with that. Never noticed any, but thought I'd ask.

Dunno if anyones suggested this yet, but Prepare Carefully. Maybe with the points system, so as to maintain some balance.

Mods / Re: [Mod request] Battlefield first-aid

The current injury system is unrealistic. I've seen pawns take shots to both their lungs (Didnt destroy either), and kept fighting. In reality, that would have been a double TPT, and they would have died without immediate first aid. Ive also seen pawns walk off taking shrapnel to the heart, another thing that would require immediate first aid to save. Combat Realism alleviates this a little, but not really to a realistic level. I'm talking, I want there to be a need to have pawns on the field, because your rifleman will bleed out before he makes it back to your hospital, and receives treatment there. To expand on this, field dressings maybe only slow blood loss, which introduces the need for things like saline, which would reduce the blood loss effect, maybe saving their life, but would damage their immunity gain, temporarily.

Mods / Re: A mod to beat up prisoners

I...Yeah. It'd be less illegal than doing it in real life, anyways.

From a modding standpoint, I don't think that's possible, but I could be wrong.

Mods / [Mod idea] Battlefield first-aid
January 19, 2016, 09:55:39 PM
Well, I'm a fan of combat realism, because of exactly that: Combat realism. However, I think it could have been taken a step further. I want tactical treatment on the battlefield. If you get shot in the heart, you're instantly unconscious (Due to a sudden and large drop in blood pressure), and you bleed out in less than a minute. I want the bleeding rates to be drastically increased, but, every pawn able to perform battlefield medicine, to basically decrease the bleeding rate of injuries. Maybe have specific pawns, even, dedicated to treatment of battlefield injuries, who have to carry a firstaid kit. There's a whole host of options to do with this, saline, quikclot, packing bandages, etc. I think it's an interesting idea, although it would definitely be very hard to pull off entirely.

Off-Topic / Re: whats the story behind your username
January 19, 2016, 06:37:00 PM
I'll go through mine one at a time, and just redirect anyone who wants to know here.

Facepunch:
I dont actually use this username anymore, but it came about way back when, from a game called Garry's Mod, if you've heard of it. I was playing GMod 9, forget the name of the gamemode, but basically what you had to do was pickup some files, and throw them at the Facepunch (developers of the game) symbol. Text would appear across the screen saying something along the lines of "Pickup the files and throw them at Facepunch!", so I changed my name to Facepunch. I don't use this one very often, anymore.
PiamondDickaxe:
Yeah, I don't remember what happened that night (I'm sure I had a blast, though), but I woke up the next morning, made myself a coffee, went to my computer, and saw that my username had been set to PiamondDickaxe. It stuck.
IDontLikeNames:
This is what happens when all the good usernames are taken. This one also stuck, but I only use it on 1 or 2 different games.
Hoganmaker:
This one's a bit of an inside joke between me, my friends, and my girlfriend. My friends are all dating, so we smashed their names together, wondering what their kid's names will be (Getting things like Jarlyn from Jarrett and Brooklyn, and Brayna from Bryce and Shayna), and I got Hogan, that is, Holly (My girl) and Logan (Me). So, yeah.
I guess I should stop before I take up the rest of the page
