Yeah i want to have massive content updates every week but its just impossible to have that. I don't mind waiting even tough i'm just super exited to get the new alpha on my hands. The quality has been just great on all alphas, they actually don't feel alphas. It feels more like a complete game that is getting more addons.

It takes what it takes and i just am happy Tynan has made this awesome game. And when he's done with this one he can start doing rimworld 2 ;)

Completely enclosed except for a 1 block wide entrance to the west. Terrain is mountains and it comes with a southern coast. :D
Factions:
1 Outlander
2 Tribal
2 Pirate
Their relations towards you can vary, so their relations towards your colony based there may differ from their relations with my colony.
But along with the pirates being hostile, one of the tribals are also hostile towards me.

I been trying to find a better location than that but its impossible. That is just a amazing location. Only irritating thing about finding the location is when you have to use wasd to scroll the map. Sadly i can't just sit back and only use mouse when trying to find a good map. A shame there is not a option to quick view the starting location on a mini window or something similiar without having to start a new game to see whats in that spot tough.

Yeah it seems to be a single time problem. This time i had a larger base with more buildings and everything worked like a charm. Colony was tough destroyed with a pirate attack, had too little men against so many and of course the solar flare came at the same time so turrets did not work at all.

I really was enjoying now that oil refinery automaticly pumps the oil and i could use teleporter to transport into my mountain base. Too bad the electricity can't be teleported inside a mountain base the same way :D Really the power was starting to be an issue and for some strange reason there was no geothermal spots, could be just they all were inside mountains.

Just hope alpha 8 comes out soon and then people do amazing mods for this game. I just hope tynan adds some stuff from mods what people made for that game. Adding just too much stuff gets the game confusing and could add too much micro managing what is not really good in this game when you got large base.

Well i deleted the game so can't test it out anylonger. There was a free path from stockpile to hoppers and hoppers were disabled on medical stuff only because its enabled on default. They did bring food to hoppers at start and everything was working good until the ship came and psychic stuff affected my guys. Everything just was a mess at then but when i got the ship destroyed then i noticed that game was not working anylonger. I made stockpile bigger too because it was full and still did not help at all.

Well i just hope this was a single time thing because the game has been working really good and this is first time i ever had any problems. Well i'm off to make new seed and find perfect base location. Damn found one spot but can't find out the seed of that map and the spot has a colony now even without savegames etc.

Thanks for the answers. Yeah i had crafting enabled, it was the first thing i checked and one of the guys was my main crafter with skill of 18 or 19 so it should have enough skill, i think others had pretty high too so they should have crafted the lower end stuff that i put on bills to test out if the high crafter had just personal issues or something :D

And what i mean by broke the game is that hauling stopped to hoppers for my dispenser. Hauling was enabled and i had 5k food in stock. So i had 3 guys with lots of things they should have been doing but they were just idle. I think growing still worked out of the few things and they moved bodies to graves too but that was about it. Did not test much because i was irritated with not working because i had just mined a whole mountain full of rooms i was going to move my base in.

Damn Oil Refinery replaces pump, i tought it just refined the oil that i manually had to get. I really need to test out that.

Well now off to test the moisture thing and oil refinery and hopefully things work out. Love the game and really these mods that are out here for this game are just so fun.

I was playing this mod and it worked like a charm until i got alien ship landing and i lost 3-4 guys because they went mental and well the remaining colonists that i had from the start could not do any crafting things. First i thought the buildings were bugged but when i noticed they don't even haul potatoes to food dispenser there is something wrong. I did save and closed the game and restarted it and still the same thing.

Something broke the game all of sudden just when i had almost everything researched :(

Question, is that damn oil extraction manually done only? i tried to put conveyor belts and still no oil. Same with the damn water well, so frustrating to manually click it every time because i got hands full always and doing micro managing is not really what i'm up to :D

Going to make new map, find a good location and roll good guys again and test again. But damn i love this mod. could use some minor improvements but overall very nice work on all of these mods :D

Just hope that the wall lamps will be added to vanilla too.

You can usually find a geothermal geyser or two buried in a mountain.  And that makes power no problem at all!  Also, use fertilizer pumps or hydroponics in your mountainhome to make food indoors.  Happy mining to you!

Yeah i was lucky and found 4 geysers in the mountain and i was growing crops in there too with the fertilizer. Just that i could not handle that damn alien ship. Need to make a new colony and try to get long range weapons to the colonists. And i learned the mechanoids just wont give up and will attack stone walls until they gone trough inside my mountain base that was sealed off.

I'm not so sure but back when i discovered rimworld was when i tried to find good indie games so i think google gave me link to someone or kickstarter page or something similiar. After i discovered the title i went to find it on youtube and i just loved the game instantly. Can't remember who were the first one i saw playing, could be Ivan Criativ. The moment i noticed that i enjoy watching a game lets play talked by russian and i had no idea what he was talking about i bought this game :D

hard to make really safe base if they can come from a single small hole in the roof.. Well now that its clear i can't have a front yard and be safe i need to test out mountain base, power is going to be a issue but i might have workaround on that :D

I've skipped few builds on purpose so this got so much cool new stuff its really fun to play again.

I actually reloaded a autosave and the enemies this time did not spawn in middle of my base this time.. Hope it was a one time incident only.

So i was playing the base builder and testing out things, had myself small "front yard" that was walled with a narrow entrance and well then all of sudden there was a pirate or something raid and the 3 guys just popped right in there on my stockpile. The yard was not on the edge of map because it had mountains as walls and my base was inside the mountain. The yard was full with buildings too with not much free room at all.

So it that a thing that enemies can spawn in middle of your base? really hard to make any defenses because all my turrets were to the entrance to that yard and the pirates spawned behind them and in between was loads of solar panels so they could not shoot the invaders :(

Its easy, i did die once but i think i did something wrong because after that i've had no problems. Its good that it gives some kind of threat because without any it would be boring as hell. But again only if turrets would work against wildlife it would be pretty much easymode IF you build those when and if its supported :D

The rate of smartphones getting faster and faster i read somewhere that so called "experts" told that in 2-3 years the smartphones are as fast as the new ps4 and xbox. But i would rather play these types of games on pc. But you never know if you can use bluetooth mouse and wlan for sending the picture to tv etc so it could be not a bad playing platform :D

very good, i live in 2 places and downloaded the latest version there and well i thought that i will use usb memory to get the game here so i save one download.. well the damn usb memory has problems so files are corrupt and i had to download it again so i'm down to 1 download now..

Seems when new version is out i'm at 0 downloads then so i will be sending e-mail then :D

Well it could been squirrels too, can't remember anylonger. Anyway i've built different things now and so far i've managed with less solar panels quite easily.. I just overdid a lot of stuff in that game :) One thing i learned that a boomrat can be very devastating if it is killed near a battery room that got around 100 batteries inside, its just a nice chain reaction and no use to send anyone inside to stop the fire :D Could have sold some batteries tough to avoid the explosions but i just wanted to see how they go boom :D

Yeah seems when i was leveling up shooting skill on one guy muffalos stopped to spawn at some point. Need to do more testing that can i really kill all boomrats too.
