Support / How To Get Colonists To Watch TV?

So I bought a TV for my colonists, and they will not interact with it at all. I know it may be a situation like the chessboard, where they will only use a dining chair, and maybe the plush armchair (forgot what it was called.) But I've tried the stool, and both chairs, and it hasn't worked. Is it a factor of how close it has to be to the TV, or is it bugged right now?

I once had pirates lay siege to our colony with an incendiary mortar. They eventually proceeded to fall asleep from exhaustion and not only did we successfully steal their mortar shells (alas, if you do, they send in more from drop pods), but they didn't even respond until they got shot when we attacked them.
Needless to say, they all died.

Hi, I've been thinking about making a mod that will let you rename your colonists and/or colony after you have landed. Reasons why, I once made a mistake with my colonist's nickname, so instead of changing the middle name, she now has the name, Clara Clara instead of having a display name of Clara. Not to mention I tend to change their mind on what the colony is called after the game prompts you to name it. Problem is, I have no idea where in the code to even think about looking.
I have a tiny bit of background in coding, but I would say I am inexperienced. I just need a bit of direction in where to look, that's all.
