General Discussion / Re: Can you do anything with Bones? Besides bury them?

In Minecraft you can turn bones into bonemeal. Putting bonemeal on plants and trees give them an instant growth boost. That'd be nice to have in RW.

General Discussion / Re: weapon deterioration. Autos-sell
July 10, 2015, 01:41:13 PM
Deterioration only applies to items on the ground not under under a roof. An equipped weapon therefore is not subject to deterioration.
There is no autosell feature, but I recall reading you could do it in a roundabout way. Someone can probably explain better, but AFAIK you create a stockpile (1) to accept cloth <50% HP. Have another stockpile (2) for what you want to keep. When a trader comes, shrink your stockpile (2) so that it no longer covers any cloth you want to keep. Go to the trade screen, any cloth you sell should only be <50% from stockpile (1). After the trade, expand stockpile (2). What I read may have said to delete stockpile (2) but then you'd have to recreate and reconfigure each time. Shrinking and expanding should be less tedious. You may need to temporarily lock the room, or forbid items where stockpile (2) was, to avoid having them hauled.

Oh, this means just animal babies and juveniles!
He used the wrong term - Pawns includes colonists.
Pawns have life stages through which they progress (baby, juvenile, adult). They can only reproduce in some stages.
Life stage changes body size, health scale, hunger rate, meat amount, leather amount, move speed.
I'm so relieved this isn't about children.

[Video] A tearful five-year girl is horrified that we chop up animals and eat them.
Her line at 1:14 will make for a good RW signature quote.

I sure hope we'll be able to doctor our injured animals.
Would artificial limbs be asking for too much?
Raiders, say 'hello' to my army of WAR turtles zipping along on bionic legs.

July 7 Appropriate female animals are milkable and your colonists will periodically milk them to yield milk, a raw food resource.
Alpha 10 gave us chocolate. Alpha 12 will give us milk.
Who wants a nice cold glass of chocolate milk?

July 06, 2015, 04:41:21 PM| Severity (%) | Stage | Symptoms | ||
| 4 | Initial | Consciousness -5% | ||
| 20 | Minor | Consciousness -10% | ||
| 40 | Moderate | Consciousness -15%, Vomiting, Dementia (permanent) | ||
| 60 | Serious | Consciousness -25%, Vomiting, Dementia (permanent) | ||
| 80 | Extreme | At this stage the victim will fall unconscious and need rescue. Consciousness: max 10%, Vomiting, Dementia |
100% toxic buildup = DEATH!
I would like to find out how quickly severity builds and drops over a given time period.

Bugs / [0.11.857] Some furniture provides zero cover
July 05, 2015, 05:57:58 PM
An armchair, a dining chair, and even a stool each realistically have at least a small chance to block a bullet. Cover should be better than zero. Even a measly plant pot provides 20%.
| Furniture | Cover | |
| Armchair | 0 | |
| Bed | 40 | |
| Dining chair | 0 | |
| Equipment rack | 40 | |
| Hospital bed | 40 | |
| Plant pot | 20 | |
| Royal bed | 40 | |
| Sleeping spot | 0 | |
| Stool | 0 | |
| Standing lamp | 0 | |
| Table (short) | 40 | |
| Table (long) | 40 |
