Nice mod, thanks! Glad we are finally starting to get more variety, now we just need facial hair.  :)

Mods / Re: [Mod Request] Borg / Cyborgs

All we are needing is the ability to create the modifications ourselves (and create medkits). Certainly makes traders more valuable!

But yeah, the upgrades are already there ingame now! I guess we could always add more variety to them. Regardless, this is quite exciting!

No. This game will looks more like Sims.
Yes, because it's terrible to have similarities to one of the top selling franchises in the history of PC game sales.

Total Copies Sold
Sims 3 - 10  million sales
Sims 2 -   6  million sales
Sims 1 - 6.3 million sales

Its only surpassed by World of Warcraft and probably the CoD series. I think the Sims has made more money then Titanic (the movie).

Anyways, what I am trying to say is that it's not a TERRIBLE idea to implement relationships nor is it a terrible thing to be compared to something like the Sims.

Relationships are present in games such as Dwarf Fortress, Clockwork Empires, and many other games very similar to Rimworld, thus, it wouldn't hurt for Rimworld to have similar features. Furthermore, they help to expand upon the gameplay rather than limit it or hurt it.

I don't know, it's just a little offsetting that the only way to get new members is to imprison them or buy them as slaves.

Oh, and the incredibly rare chance that an event will dictate someone joining.
I agree. Its really hard to recruit new people since everyone is either hostile or a member of a friendly faction. And with the new medical system capturing people (alive) is even more dangerous for both parties.

The more the merrier! Can't wait to see what happens with this new medical system.

Lets not count anything out or unachievable.

Everything sci-fi go warhammer over time, this unavoidable.
Wait, I thought everything went to Star Wars or Star Trek over-time?

Save editing is actually pretty easy. What are you looking to do?

Mods / Re: [Request] Alien Species: Dionaea

heh, glad to see some Space Station influence making it here. :)

Also, just allow them to mod the species into the game via a new pawn type or unique graphics. Its not hard to allow something and I don't understand why people want to absolutely CRUSH someone's agenda. Its a bad human habit.

Wouldn't hurt and would make things easier. Also, corpses should be auto stripped prior to burial or cremation, IMO.

Great ideas. I cannot wait to see more medical options!

Dwarf Fortress has a feature that you can have people only work in certain areas and it works pretty damn well. I'd love to see something similar in Rimworld.

You can always mod your game :D

No, seriously, I'd like to see more game options too. I'd particularly like to see starting options ranging from crashed ship, mining business venture, or military outpost to give more initial variety.

I think this would be an interesting feature to explore and would create more varied stories and gameplay variety. It couldn't hurt to look into.

Also, the "Sims" comment is pretty cheap. Dwarf Fortress has children and relationships and works just fine. Seeing as Rimworld is basically intent on becoming a superior scifi version of it I don't see why this idea cannot be explored.

Also, I like to imagine rim world's late game being more like a distant colony or even a small city (assuming we get enough tech and people). That could be incredible to see!
