Ideas / Automatic Toggling of Lights
June 10, 2016, 10:18:44 AM
It would be nice for lights to only be used when a colonist entered a room.  Perhaps this could be an option for other powered items in a room as well.  Having power to items in a space only when said items are being used kinda makes sense without having to micromanage each room/item's power usage.

General Discussion / Manually Throwing Molotovs?
April 16, 2014, 10:53:31 PM
Ok so apparently holding "F" and clicking on where you want to throw the Molotov no longer works.  How do you do this now?

Bugs / Hydroponics Table Bug?
April 16, 2014, 01:53:11 PM
I have and enclosed building lit well by sun lamps.  This building houses 18 hydroponics tables, however, my 3 growers will only use 10 of them.  Why is that?

How exactly do you place smooth stone flooring?  It doesn't appear it can be placed over metal flooring, but then again, it doesn't look like you can remove metal flooring either.......

General Discussion / Rescuing Downed Faction Members
April 15, 2014, 09:03:17 PM
I had a member from a neighboring faction member who was visiting and got attacked by the boomrat that had gone mad.  He lost the melee battle and was incapacitated.  I assigned a colony member to go rescue them, but the only option available to was to capture them.  The when I did this, I immediately too a hit with that faction and they became hostile.  The only other option I could have taken was to leave them incapacitated and let them die.

Perhaps there needs to be an option to gain positive points with a faction if you rescue and nurse one of theirs back to health.

(p.s.: Perhaps this could be moved to the "suggestion" section)

How do I re-download my copy of the latest Rim World release version?

Ideas / Display Weapon Equipped
April 14, 2014, 01:01:33 AM
In Alpha 2, you simply had to select a colonist to see what weapon they had equipped.  Unless I am missing something, you now have to put them into "drafted" mode to see what weapon they have. Perhaps this could be reverted and also have weapon info in the tab you get when you hover over them.

General Discussion / More "Occurrances"
March 30, 2014, 10:57:13 PM
I have made mention of this before, but I did not previously pair it with this question: Will there be more occurrences/events so we don't have rampaging animals, solar flares, thunderstorms or eclipses every 5 minutes?  Maybe some other occurrences that are not quite so destructive as well.

I will add that stampeding boomrats are particularly nasty because you cannot outrun them, set up and shoot at them before putting some more distance between you and repeating.

Is it possible to manually fire carried weapons?

Ideas / Auto Defenses Target Identification
March 30, 2014, 01:15:43 PM
Is there some reason that your auto defenses will automatically open firing on incoming raiders, but do nothing about that stampeding herd of muffalo or boom rats bearing down on your poor delicate settlement?

Ideas / Rescuing/Capturing
March 30, 2014, 12:01:19 PM
For instances where you get the pod crash and the incapacitated survivor:  You should be able to retrieve (rescue) them without having a prison built.  They are incapacitated and you should be able to put them in a bed if one has not yet been claimed by a colonist.  Now once they are no longer incapacitated, then they will do as they will (escape, attack, join the colony....etc...etc...) but you should be able to bring them back and doctor them back to health.   Prison should be an option, not a must for rescuing incapacitated non-colonists.  For capturing or arresting, then yes, a prison should be required.

Ideas / Assigned Groups

How about the ability to select groups of colonists and assign them to number keys?

General Discussion / Eating Habits
March 29, 2014, 12:41:25 AM
Why is it that I can have a paste dispenser with food available in the attached hopper, yet my colonists will eat raw food, which in turn puts them in a foul mood?  Its not like a better option wasn't available.....

General Discussion / Doctoring?
March 20, 2014, 12:27:15 AM
I know this is answered somewhere and I apologize if I ruffle anyone feathers by asking, but is doctoring not yet enabled?

Is it just me, or does it seem as if these occur way too often as to be abnormal and obnoxious.  I understand that they are intended to add challenge to the experience, but damn.....

....and it rains so much, it feel like friggin' Seattle or a dang rain forest.  What the Foxtrot man.  I assume there will probably be adjustments, but that is my input on the current state.

General Discussion / Build Priority?
March 19, 2014, 04:38:15 PM
It would be cool to be able to set the build priority for colonists we have focusing on construction.  It sucks to have them working on a stone wall when you really need that turret up.  Selecting the colonist and then right clicking on the building or object you want them to work on often does not work.

Why is it that even though I've created 3 male beginning colonists, I end up with 3 female models for them?  Its happened the other way as well.  I assume this will be addressed at some point.

General Discussion / Mental Breaks Seriously?
March 19, 2014, 03:09:23 PM
I understand the point behind the general idea of mental status and needing to maintain certain things to balance this.  However, I only know maybe one or two people who are as mentally delicate as the "colonists" in this game.  The biggest load of BS is the viewing of corpses that causes colonists to have mental breaks.  Seriously, viewing dead bodies does not cause mental distress.  (Before someone assumes...yes, I have viewed my share of dead bodies before the morgue and before the funeral home has had the chance to beautify them).

I just think that our colonists should be a little more mentally sound than they are.  Sometimes I think they just border on excessively pathetic and weak minded.

General Discussion / How Do I Use Hydroponics?
March 18, 2014, 10:20:32 PM
I guess my question is does hydroponics work yet?  If to, how does it work?  Yes, I have tables built inside.  Yes, I have sun lamps built.  What's next?
