General Discussion / More "Occurrances"
March 30, 2014, 10:57:13 PM
I have made mention of this before, but I did not previously pair it with this question: Will there be more occurrences/events so we don't have rampaging animals, solar flares, thunderstorms or eclipses every 5 minutes?  Maybe some other occurrences that are not quite so destructive as well.

I will add that stampeding boomrats are particularly nasty because you cannot outrun them, set up and shoot at them before putting some more distance between you and repeating.

Is there some reason that your auto defenses will automatically open firing on incoming raiders, but do nothing about that stampeding herd of muffalo or boom rats bearing down on your poor delicate settlement?

no not really the best u will get are some people on look out (drafted)

The problem with keeping people "drafted" is that they do nothing but stand there and get cranky after 5 minutes of being "drafted".

No, I don't believe it is possible in Alpha 2 either.  That is why I am suggesting it. :)

Ideas / Rescuing/Capturing

For instances where you get the pod crash and the incapacitated survivor:  You should be able to retrieve (rescue) them without having a prison built.  They are incapacitated and you should be able to put them in a bed if one has not yet been claimed by a colonist.  Now once they are no longer incapacitated, then they will do as they will (escape, attack, join the colony....etc...etc...) but you should be able to bring them back and doctor them back to health.   Prison should be an option, not a must for rescuing incapacitated non-colonists.  For capturing or arresting, then yes, a prison should be required.

1x2 bedrooms as in the size of that bed itself?

How about the ability to select groups of colonists and assign them to number keys?

No.  My paste dispenser is in its own building.

Why is it that I can have a paste dispenser with food available in the attached hopper, yet my colonists will eat raw food, which in turn puts them in a foul mood?  Its not like a better option wasn't available.....

Hehe.... ok.  Keep up the great work.  As many gripes as i might have, this game is addicting and I know you'll get things sorted.

General Discussion / Re: Mental Breaks Seriously?
March 28, 2014, 12:49:35 AM
The f*ing problem is that you can't get to carpets because every time these mentally delicate crack heads see a dead body they freak the f* out, give up, have mental breaks and go on rampages.  Where are the damned crazy pills?  This is like trying to manage a psych hospital with no meds.

Yes I know changes are coming and everyone has a method and story about how to game the game.  But damn, its frustrating just trying to get your basic sh*t up, let alone improve quality of life.

2014? :D

Yes, April (next month) this year..

I for one cannot wait! Love every single change in the change log.. and I am so looking forward to the day it does release!

Such a big update and factions are going to be very interesting.

Where can I view the changelog for A3 or has that not been released publically yet?
