Bugs / Re: Siege Bug - Landing +AI
January 27, 2016, 01:37:10 AM
Without open discussion, we the community have no knowledge that anyone is even reading or doing anything about all the bugs that have been reported since Tynan took his hiatus.

Have you not noticed that the developer is ignoring the bugs forum, for 5 months now. He presently does not care about what bugs we find.

Thanks, that helps quite a bit. I'm afraid there might be some issues with the CCL detour methods on non-windows platforms. I personally have neither the expertise nor access to a mac to get to the bottom of this, but I'll see what I can do.

In the mean time, you should be able to safely delete the allowmoddedheads mod (or just disable) in the latest version of MVP, the only noticeable difference will be that you won't get the new facial hair and scarred heads.

Sorry to say there is no allow modded heads mod, simon put it inside the MVP mod...Will need to delete the dll from the assemblies folder, and from the xml files manually.

How to turn it off? And if I turn it off will it come later again? I don't won't to shut it down forever it would be cheating.

Open developers mode, click the debug actions menu, click the end map condition button, select the condition you want to end... will not prevent the volcanic winter from returning.

QuoteEdit 2: Bullseye! I CAN launch and play in version 1.22 without any problems. It has to be the issue of AllowModdedHeads.dll. So I've done my part, good luck bug hunting  ;D
Are you talking about using CCL 1.22? I can't seem to find that specific one... I can only find 1.21 and 1.23  :-[
no he is talking about the modpack numbers... 1.22 was before the detour to heads was added..

just go to the github page, and scroll down, all the versions are there on the download page

So how do I know if there has been an update recently? Do I need to just keep checking the forums, I haven't played in awhile but recently started up again.

Last update was at the end of August 2015... next update won't be until Tynan Returns. He took a 6 month vacation.

Sendowl will send an email to the address you provided when you first purchased the game.

Thanks, that is what I thought, so that means everything that is using a comp does not need the ticker... and knowing that I can decrease the late game large colony lag.

Help / Ticker<normal> tag
January 15, 2016, 03:58:57 PM
Strange question... Ticker type is needed to calculate when things happen.

But does the power trader comp make the ticker type not needed on power buildings?

The reason I am asking, is with MVP the lighted walls had the ticker type normal, and the comp power trader, and when I removed the ticker type normal from the lighted walls, the lag I was experiencing reduced greatly, but the lighted walls still transmitted power, and provided light. Am I missing something?

It is a distance factor, not impressiveness... and the guest beds, 3 crammed into a small room.

Honestly I do not expect it be be fixed Orion, just one of those little quirks colonist will do.

One other thing steam adds, that send owl does not do is regional pricing. At sendowl everyone pays the same price.

"Abandoned" is a ridiculous term to use for this. Recreational anger doesn't become you. Frankly I'm disappointed to come back and see you still at your old game of constantly accusing me of various moral shortcomings and transgressions.

The game is worked on every day - as was described on the blog. We're full steam ahead over here; I'm just not taking time out to give daily updates because it would slow down progress. Truthfully, I don't like wasting time managing PR; it's better spent on the actual game.

Since the next update will represent six months of work, it will be gigantic compared to previous ones.

If anyone wants to keep claiming the game is "abandoned", I'm open to betting some cash on this. Any takers? We'll go by the dictionary definition of "abandoned". TLHeart? We can start with a $1000 bet. Or more! After all, it's free money for me since I know the answer :)

milon feel free to delete off-topic posts here and/or warn/ban violators; off-topic thread pollution is a rule break after all.

Not a game Tynan, perception of the public is what drives sales.... and a 6 month break, announced or not is a warning sign and is perceived by some that the game has been abandoned. and the developer has ran off with the kickstarter money... It has happened so often with EA games.

And by the dictionary use, which one? as there are over 50 different definitions.

And since you NOW feel that PR is less important, it shows just how little you understand marketing. PR is what drives sales, not leaving a game in limbo for 6 months.

No I won't take your bet, as if you read and understand what I said, For 6 months the game has been abandoned, with NO game updates to the community. A few posts here and there, and a blog post of empty drival about how great the next update will be....  all actions I have seen before by developers who do ABANDON the project. The word abandoned touches a nerve.

Looking at the Mantis report, Ison has fixed over 50 bugs that we still have to play the game with, because you needed a 6 month long break.

Instead you want everyone to never question what is happening...
