Found some star trek consoles and converted them to work in the game.   


And made these data interface - star charts - antimatter containment

I saw an older mod that would let you relocate your colony on a new map, so its got to be possible somehow.  I did alot of work with C# when making iPad Apps, so I think I'll be able to figure it out once I get started.

My name is Jon, I'm from Alabama in the US and have been a gamer since childhood.  I attended college for software engineering and worked on alot of smaller projects.  Really interested in building a couple mods for Rimworld after all the things I've seen from other modders. 

-What introduced you to RimWorld? Or to this style of game in general?
So, I was playing alot of Banished and reading forums, researching how to build a better city, and I kept seeing RimWorld mentioned.  I looked at it and honestly the character artwork was a big turn off, so I went on to something else.  I got to looking for a new game to play after building several big towns in Banished and read up on Dwarf Fortress, StarBound and several others, and I kept seeing RimWorld mentioned.  I read some more about it and when I saw it had no DRM and I could share one copy with my wife I bought it instantly.  When I saw it was like a 50MB download I was thinking, I dunno, might have been a waste of $30.   14 hours later my wife and I were passing out in front of the computers.

-What's your favorite other game?
I've had high hopes for alot of games.  I really wanted to get into WildStar.  In recent memory I can say the thing I enjoyed the most before getting into Banished was GTA5 on the PS3, I had alot of fun and was completely surprised how well the story was done.  Other than that, Modded Skyrim, if you could only have one game, that would be the one for me.

-Most embarrassing gaming-related story?
Once playing Anarchy Online with some friends, IX, we were in this dungeon and near the end of it was a little room with some vendors, a rest area I guess.  I kept saying, they are not flagged the same as a town vendor, we could attack them, maybe they would drop something good.  I said something to the effect, "I will attack and if it seems like a normal mob we all got for it."  I pushed attack and fell over dead.  Looking at the damage log, I hit it for a couple hundred damage and a reflect shield hit me for like 10,000 damage. 

-What kind of breakfast cereal is the best?
I just tried a peanut butter chocolate cereal, OMG!

The last couple games I played I used Prepare Carefully to setup a group of escaped slaves, 5 people less than 20 years old of various childhood backgrounds, all with deep space miner as an adult profession.  Had a lot of fun with it, and was wondering if you have done something similar, what was the theme?  Its hard as hell to get 5 people into the points, I ended up dropping with almost no supplies, just some nutrient paste meals and a couple survival rifles.

The general concept with this mod is to bring a little bit of Star Trek into RimWorld.  I have alot of ideas about what I want to do with this mod before I release it, but the first order of business is to create all the new parts that are needed to make a functional spaceship.  Here is a list of all the new stuff I want to create, and where I'm at right now on it.

Mods / A Few Questions

I want to create a mod, but before my brainstorming gets out of hand I want to know if this is possible.

Create a new map during the game and copy some built items from one map to another.  I'm thinking I will create a new type of floor and any item in a space with that floor type gets copied. 

Honestly, I've answered every other question I've had by looking at other mods and seeing what others have done already.  Damn amazing game and community!

Is it possible to change the body type, it seems tied to the adult backstory choice?

I'm just adding this to this mod's thread rather than starting a new one.  Abrexus is welcomed to do whatever with these files I guess?  Anyway, this brings in the mine, lathe, concrete mixer and nuke plant from Industrialization, along with the high-powered power plants from glittertech and the enhanced battery.  All of these use resources from Superior Crafting, with the exception of Titanium from glittertech.  I removed copper and aluminium from Industrialization, adding titanium and plasteel to the mining bills.  Also I added in the fuseboxes and quantum storage stuff from RT's mods.  again these will need resources from superior crafting (electronics.)  Research has been adjusted for these as well, they're there, just unlock most of the power and construction trees to open up research for the items.  High-grade steel is also present (from industrialization) along with associated smelters.  I have not resolved producing Magnetic Coils, Alpha Poly and Beta Poly.  So you will have to buy those from the Black Market trader (included in More Superior Crafting.)

All of this works fine with Zombies as well, been playing with this for a few days now, just thought I'd share my tweaks.

Recommended load order:  Prepare Carefully, Enhanced Interface, Superior Crafting, More Superior Crafting, Zombies.  Not using any other mods.

Edit: Almost forgot, I also put in the ceiling lights (and adjusted their cost), and a couple of the resource storage tables from Clutter.
One more edit:  The power switch mod is in this as well.

There already is armor/weapon crafting, I just didn't put in helmets prior to releasing.

I was wondering this, I installed the mod and played last night for a while, researched all the tier 1 stuff and was building all kinds of things.  I am loving all the changes so far and was hoping there was something in the higher tier's for building real guns.  I wish there was a spreadsheet or something that would show all the items that could be crafted and where they come from and what resources they need, etc...
