Considering the pods are from a crash landing, it would be cool if a few large pieces of debris flew over the map before the pods came down.

It wouldn't have to actually land on the map but seeing a few streaking hulks of ship fly over and into the distance would be cool for immersion.

The thing with bleeding, is it's absolutely manageable in isolated events. Though usually following a massive assault in which most members are injured at least, the bleeding becomes a real threat. Especially if only 1 or two doctors are still standing. Sometimes a colonist is lost or in danger of serious bleeding.

I got the impression my map (or at least the area around the ship) would become a dead wasteland.

I was a little disappointed when as far as I can tell, it creates a bit of snow and that's it.
In fact one fell near the perimeter of my colony but I left it alone because I liked the small region of persistent snow...
I have a feeling they are not supposed to be just for looks but it sure fees like it.

Sure but my point is they never feel affordable, unless a colony is really rich. Most of the time in late game my steel normally dwindles from constant replacement of turrets.

It feels more steep than sterile tiles and they are supposed to have a special purpose, 3 metal was fine like before.

 5 is way too high, you can easily spend upwards of 600 on a decent size room. Fine if it's stone but a colony can crumble without steel!

Being able to see streaks in the sky from mortar exchanges would be super cool. Would be nice if the lingered a little too.

I think having all of your colonists enter Cryto-sleep Should be a game ending.

At the moment I like to include them in my medical wards, in the event my colony cannot sustain through the winter, il put non essential members into deep sleep until the long winter ends. Or, in the middle of an extended fight and I can't help incapacitated colonists in the moment. (Same for diseases)

I do like this idea though, could set an amount of days/years the pod should open.

Is there a reason we can't get hills (of any kind) on coastal maps? Would be cool to have a North Coast with abit of land in the middle and a mountain at the South.

Especially if we one day see some form water/ hydro power.

As for the second part of the suggestion/ question.

Rock maps filled with unexposed areas. Though these can be big rooms with threats in.
Basically 90% Rock and 10% outside land.

Is there any way to add illuminocity (I'm not even sure thats a word)
so that lasers light up at night?
Same for all of them actually, but maybe a blue haze to gauss weapons after they fire? :) My favourite weapon mod bundle!

Someone mentioned in another thread they could basically have all the values of sandbags (lower cover though) and only passable by humans.
Fence gates would be nice too. Though they are basically retextured wooden doors, it would be nice for immersion.

Wasn't it you that made all the commotion about OP Mechanoids in the first place?

To clarify a few things, after my first few games in alpha 3, I have without fail played on randy random on whatever the maximum difficultly was at the time.

You say how could Tynan bend to ME, however he wouldn't be, as until you kicked the chair leg and cried OP in your topic there was no change.
I don't think it is really smart to call everyone a scrub after being the only person to scream about random gameplay on a random difficulty.

On randy random at the least, it should remain random.
