^these are all melee weapons that were used to raid trenches (i believe i read somewhere that they're coming in alpha 7?)
as for handguns (keep in mind a lot of them were revolvers) there's:
Colts (americans used these alot)
Mannlicher M1901
Rast M1898
Nagant M1895
Star M14
Savage M1907
Frommer Stop (probably the most badass pistol on the list. they sometimes used two as a double barrel machine gun on a tripod. Cant get any better than that!)
Nambu
As i said before many of these are revolvers so they all look very similar so you may want to just put in a couple to make it seem like theres variants.

Lets go for rifles now:
Remington M8
French Lebel
French Berthier
U.S. Springfield
Winchester M1910
Jezail (although i feel like this should be a craftable weapon because of its history)
Elephant gun. Because fuck it. They were actually used in the beginning of the war.

Snipers
Couldnt really find anything on them other than they were basic rifles with greater range and a scope.

Light machine guns
Again not much found that i already didnt give you. although i would like to see Maxims and MG's like the 08 and 18 being mountable turrets.

Lol. I had fun seeing commandos and raiders trying to survive a zombie raid while the french and brits bombarded the area. So personally i love all of them fighting each other and my colonists running across the field saving whomever they can.

I didnt mean for all of them to wear them but to *maybe* make a class where they have better protection. Although now that i think of it doesnt really matter.

Flames to burn the heathens! *cough* I mean... No no thats actually what I mean :'D

Quick question: Why do you need to remove vanilla factions?
Also towards the end of the war soldiers were equipped with steel helmets to combat head injury by artillery so maybe make different class of helmet that costs a bit more than normal helmets but provide better protection.
Also the Flamethrower was introduced in WW1.

Lol. Probably should start out with the rifles seeing as those were the most important.

Factions were just an idea. I always liked having factions just fight it out while "Bob" runs through the field stripping them of their clothing. Of course "Bob" would come back with head trauma but completely worth it. :'D (also on the glitter tech thread i think they figured out a way around that where you just had to remember the seed of the world. )

As for buildings I was going to say crematorium to burn dead bodies but we already have one. If anything you could try to make land mines.

PS. I love the metro helmet.

Some weapon ideas:
Webley revolver- Sidearm
Mauser C96- Sidearm
Luger- Sidearm
Lee Enfield- Rifle
Ross Rifle- Rifle
Lee-Metford (although i'd think its the same as the Enfield but wutevs) - Rifle
Gewehr 98 - Rifle
MP18- Sub machine Gun
Lewis Gun- Light Machine Gun

You should look into making factions and having one be German and another be Brits and have them always be against each other. and if possible make an event where the factions try killing one another in the outskirts of your town.
