As we're explicitly knowing the whole path upfront, we need to use the most precise "query".

But, duh! I never thought about just removing the first "/". But it's logical... Once someone pointed you to it ^^

Cross referencing as they said.

You take the tag value and do a search in Core\Defs for the exact value. Bam, you now have clue about where they link. It can help to understand meanings some time.

Want to know all possible value for a tag? Do a search in Core/Defs for the exact tag name (including < >). Bam you have all possibility listed.

Just some general guidance, hope it can help

Edit: in most text editors the "search in a whole folder" function is often keyed to CTRL+SHIFT+F)

That's what I thought as well. And what I told to sstanes3 on Reddit (I think it was you, right?). But apparently it's not as simple anymore. I haven't checked myself though

The file checking thing is clever ;-)

About Mod check distribution: maybe see with hugslib author to merge your mods? As it's the only one library nearly every mod users have.

I'm sure it would be not that hard code wise, but alas it seems like blueprints defs are not in the XML files. So it's beyond my knowledge to modify them...
