Tynan, you would have to start thinking about new goals, as the fund is going well.

Ideas / Rosetta Program: Translate the game
October 03, 2013, 05:46:13 AM
To try to give a little publicity to the game, and as an added feature, the game would be available in the widest range of languages as possible.

Many of those present at the forum are of different nationalities, including Tynan guess it depends on the area where Canada, speak English and French, which is a great advantage to encourage this feature in the game.

The easiest thing would be that we had the game text in CSV and then we translate the game, and the best way to do this would be to have one person responsible for each of the languages, possibly the language of the former manager translate out if native language.

As a suggestion, would go well for in-game advertising, the backer and others were available to artwork, as avatars for facebook, twitter, ... image for your wall on facebook, twitter background, ...

I dont know if you have an artist, but it would be very interesting.

It seems that the campaign works well, as I write this (after my donation, yesterday was too late when I saw that started here) are raised 7.118 CAD, more than 33% of total raise for the project.

Not bad for a first day.

Rimworld, here we go.

*Forum Backer Pack (special frame for avatar, unique title, emblems, different font color in post, ...)
*Business Pack (special for company, one of the items the game will have the name of one of your products, for example, Kellogg's collaborates, some food items would call their product: Special K, Frosties, ... Always according it with the company to maintain the "lore" of game)
*Counselor (once every so often (weekly, monthly, ...) online meeting with backers to share ideas, game progress, ...)
*Astronomical Pack (appointing a celestial body: planet, star, asteroid, ...)

I thought Moon had an interesting premise and opening, but didn't it drag a little bit as it went on? Stuff just got weird, there, after a while, and the dude acting against himself and arguing with himself started to get kind of monotonous. Still, definitely worth watching.

I also already seen, but not the end, think the story is very slow. One day I have to see it all.

Ideas / Re: Multiplayer
September 25, 2013, 05:21:01 PM
Although technically everything is possible, the game mechanics will not be complicated?

What if I've seen i is interesting is certain social characteristics. For example, in Godus, followers (equivalent to the colonists in Rimworld) have Godus players names. A settler yours would flee, to leave dle planet or whatever and end up in another player's game would be interesting, or such other colonies to establish trade with other players of being offline.

Wow. Awesome answer. How is Godus? I've been considering picking it up.

Not bad, and promises to be a great game, but at this level there is little content (must have 10 hours of play) and when the terrain is not random, so that the games are equal. Still have not implemented multiplayer. I guess I will need at least to wait a few patches to make it more interesting

General Discussion / Re: How To Email 1100 people
September 24, 2013, 06:55:46 PM
Another way is to make a program for sending massive mail (I made one long ago with VB.Net)

Edit:

There are many options on the market, many free and very good.
Searching the net I found adequate to your needs, as you can send both emails and marketing management:

There actually is a FB page: https://www.facebook.com/LudeonStudios

Though it's ancient; I need to update it.

And hells yeah I'll be doing more than "emailing a few places" :D.

Added to Facebook (screenshot interesting, I guess is the first versions of the game)

It would be recommended daily update facebook page and other social networks (Twitter, blog as we are doing)

It would be interesting, especially now at the beginning, which also had a "Comunity Manager", if possible, any of the tester you have, since I assume are acquaintances or friends who will know both the game and your work
