General Discussion / Mechanoids showing mercy

Why is it every time a mechanoid incapacitates a pawn, they don't kill them, they just go to their next target. Do these mechanized robots actually show mercy?.. or is a incapacitated pawn bait for another pawn to rescue them and they get shot up.

Scyther 2: Well let's blow their legs off with our charge rifles to show them that we are the boss of them.
Scyther 1: Agreed...
Scyther 2: *Blows off the legs of the warg that was leading the others*
Scyther 1: Looks like the other wargs are fleeing the area and it appears that one of the wargs are eating the leading warg that you shot off their legs...
Scyther 2: Hmm must be broken, Anyway lets proceed to the Cannibals base and wipe them out.

Someone continue the story...

Yeah you are right. How the heck is a scyther programmed to help with tasks. The scyther is something you probably will see in a horror movie that is chasing you while it's shooting your limbs off and tearing you to bits with it's sharp blades.

That's not very USEFUL in preforming tasks on glitterworlds!!

fair enough, just wanted to make sure this wouldn't take the cleaning requirement out of the game.
The whole 'I don't like this mechanic so I want it to be removed' mindset can be annoying.

This is my own theory and I believe it and some people might think it's not possible but it's a "theory"

Well here it is...


Very... Very... Far in the future of Earth. The earth's core became unstable over all the years and people thought of relocating to a distant world. It can be because of global warming or other problems that come up over the years. Anyway people feared if they continue to live on Earth, the planet's core may slowly become a ticking bomb and may explode years from now. If they were going to leave Earth, then they couldn't leave their precious plants and animals. Earth's best scientist had to figure out a way to transport animals and plants to the distant world they speak of. A few years after Cryptosleep was discovered, Scientist found a way to transport animals and plants to the distant world. They built ship like-cryptosleep pods for the animals. This way the animals would be asleep while traveling in space to the new world without any need of food or water also they won't age. Plants on the other hand, had to be transported in their seed form for easier planting when they land on the distant world's soil. At the end of every month, people will launch the pods that were filled with animals and seeds into the air and then into space in hope they will seek out the distant world and land on it. The scientist hoped that the animals and seeds will land on the world and will repopulated the world with earth's precious livestock and plants so when people traveled to the world, there will already be trees planted on the soil and animals eating from the grass. The scientist also didn't know the world already had strange animals like muffalo and boomaloope etc.


That's my Theory...

Lets say... You only have one colonist, the others are dead...

That colonist is is injured and bleeding moderately.

You have meds available

Colonist should go fetch the meds, go back to the hospital bed, sit down and heal themselves

-Books can provide joy for colonists.
-There can be traits like (Bookworm). This person with the trait will gain +10 because they are interested in reading.
+10 Enjoyed reading.

-Books can be sold by trade ships like (Bulk Goods).
-Colonists can write books and sell them or let other colonists read them.You can even read them like you read the story on the masterwork swords
-Certain books can increase their profession in growing, researching, cooking, taming, hunting, etc. But those books cost a lot.

Hey! why there's no facility for cooking?

Can't there be like a knife drawer?

Or a cutting board?

or even a sink that can help cooking be faster and less chance of people getting food poison.

You can manually name pawns if you don't like their name... but you can't manually name pets...

Yeah I like the idea, but i don't think the guest should work for you if they are just visiting. It will be best if you gave them a bed to sleep in and offer them some of your food.

Now if you're being raided they will help you in battle unless they are friends with that faction.

yeah that seems fair if your offering them a lavish meal and a comfy bed. The richer the meal, the more silver you get paid.

That would be a waste of perfectly edible meat.  I suggest bones.  Making an armchair and royal bed out of skulls while the rest of the bones make up the walls and doors.  Maybe the flooring as well.  It will be more durable and wont rot.

It would be kinda creepy to sit on your enemies bones for relaxation unless your crazy.
