General Discussion / Re: lat game plasteel?

Traders is the only "reliable" way. If you are lucky like me you can sometimes find a map that has 5 huge plasteel mines.

Personally I don't like any of them, the idea is cool but not executed in a good way. You don't want to keep pets for food for the "time you need food" because they will eat 10x the amount that they will give you if ever you reach that time. You don't want them for attackers because until you get a hoard of them they are useless and getting more colonists that can actually help out instead of just eat food would be much more beneficial. Then there is hauling, not even half of the animals are able to do it and the ones that can will just sometimes when they feel like it, do it.

Do they kill animals? Or do they only kill tamed ones?
Only tamed ones

Can a colonist actually leave the colony at will/bad mood/dissatisfaction?  I have read about it but it never happened to me so I thought it was in older versions of the game and then removed.
May have been removed but i have had it happen to me, said nope i don't think so and arrested him. Believe it has to be someone from an actual tribe or pirate band and cant just be someone from space or originals.

Used to be able to do this, just forbid your main door but have a side passage they would then be forced to come into. Then I would burn them to death mwhahahahaha! It was removed  >:(

My sad story is I had a mech raid drop right on top of me. Sad part is it dropped right next to my new born husky.

I like the new interface, if you want to set up pawn jobs you can just scroll over the box you are looking at and it tells you what their level is. Yes there wasn't really anything wrong with the old one but no the new one isn't bad.

General Discussion / Re: Toxic Fallout - Remove?
November 06, 2015, 06:28:42 PM
I don't mind the toxic fallout event, never really had a problem with it. I do agree that mechs need to be changed though. Currently the ship is stupid, if you get it early you can deal with it if you have a sniper rifle, if not you have to throw colonists at it and watch 3 of them get shot in the heart by the extremely over powered charge lance. If you get it late you have to cheese roof collapse it or just start over because you cant kill 3+ centipedes and 5+ of the other guys with a sniper before everyone goes insane. As for the centipedes them selves they are stupid. I can get their hp down to a barely visible sliver and they still don't die 100 shots later. We need weapons that don't do crap vs humans but can 3-5 shot these things.

The price is probably right, after all not many people would be willing to buy it and the ones that will would probably pay a nice amount just to keep you quiet. I do believe there needs to be a special very rare trader which is the only one able to buy it, this way you can still make money but you wont be getting it every exotic goods trader that comes by.

May you first colony be given a quick painless death. Big kill boxes are minatory in this game if you don't have it modded about after the 5th raid you will be visited by about 30 tribals, or 100 squirrels.

No, traps are not useful at all.

General Discussion / Re: This game is sadistic!

One of the reasons I stopped playing the game. To much artificial difficulty, not enough skill based play.

I did a lot of messing around with my audio settings and somehow managed to get it to work again, unfortunately I have no idea what I did so am unable to really give help to anyone who is having the same issue.

General Discussion / Sound stopped working
September 23, 2015, 04:34:41 AM
Hey guys took a break from rimworld for a while and when I came back the sound wouldn't play. Since it wasn't working decided I would upgrade to the current patch so uninstalled all mods, deleted old rimworld, installed new one, but the sound is still gone. Any suggestions?

Hunt squirrels, you'll have 20 in shooting in 5 minutes.
