What if you could only do it to your own colonists and/or needed a stupid high medical skill to do it? Or maybe even medical and crafting?

In my mind there's no reason we can't take prosthetics back from pawns once they're dead as long as the prosthetics aren't too damaged. This could also affect Scythers weapons since we can get them when they're downed but not dead. Just a thought :)

I'm trying to do the tutorial from Alpha 9 to learn the very basics of modding and I thought I followed it correctly but I guess not. I believe I have the directory set up properly and I have the images in the correct folder, just not sure what I'm supposed to fix. Thank you for your help!

Thank you so much to the both of you! I've looked through Core and some other mods and I think my main issue was I just couldn't figure out how to make the mod actually work or register or have the game understand it etc. Hopefully those links that kaptain_kavern posted will help me loads.

I'm wanting to learn how to mod Rimworld but any tutorials I've found are several years out of date. Is there an updated one out there or did everyone either learn awhile ago or already understand how to mod the game?

Help / What Animals Can Eat

I know this is probably a pretty simple task, but I am completely new to changing anything in Rimworld. I would like to be able to make rates (and maybe other creatures) consume all phases of corpses. This way, I could put a whole bunch of fresh, rotten, and desiccated corpses in a room with a bunch of rats and by doing that I could feed the rats and get rid of the corpses. Any idea how I would do this?

I can't imagine this not being suggested before but I figure I'll suggest it myself. I've always wanted a slider threshold for craftable items, specifically food. I.E. Craft Simple Meals until you have 50, ignore crafting until you have <30 and then craft to 50 again. That way, you don't have someone crafting 10 meals every 5 minutes.

I like that! Theoretically, they could still fire a gun if they're in a power chair but just be unable to run away fast at all. Cleaning, Hauling, Social, and other stuff that doesn't 'technically' require legs could still be done, just at a much slower rate.

I completely agree with O Negative. I think this would be a really good mechanic for the game but as someone who has been hospitalized for suicidal tendencies and whatnot, it's a little weird for me. Mumbles idea is just plain too far and quite disrespectful...

I wanted to add my own buttons to the console. At least one that would spawn an event from a random list that I created to speed the game along a little when it started to slow down. From what I understand I don't have the knowledge to do so quite yet. Looks like I'll be spending time in the near future learning how to add buttons!

Help / Add More Developer Console Buttons + Functions

Is there a def file for the Developer Mode or more specifically the buttons used to test the different features? I am a livestreamer and I spend quite a lot of time streaming RimWorld and I've made it so my viewers can use stream currency to have me manually spawn in certain events that can either help or hurt me. What I would like to do is create a button that spawns a random event from a list I provide it. If anyone can help me find what I'm looking for or give me an idea on how to do it now that you know what I'm looking for, that would be great. Thank you!

I have quite a nice computer that I'm playing RimWorld on and with ~70 mods I will slow down the more I scroll out. Having a bunch of mods definitely affects your frame rate and will make the game slower in general.
