I kind of agree , there's just WAY too much stuff lying on the ground at the start.

I would suggest removing all that stuff except the junk at your landing site, but increasing metal deposits and
berry bush/agave count a little'

Maybe let you mine silver which would be rare  and research a mint to make coins.

Id also increase the frequency of supply drops a little but Id leave everything in crates , so you have to go open them
to see whats inside

I dont know if its just my eyes are bad or that I use my TV as a monitor but dark red text on a dark background like what
is used for the names of raiders and the confirm exit to OS button is almost unreadable . Its the same for any game that does
it . I suggest an option to change the colors of texts and backgrounds of the text  :)

What happened to my favorite Colonists : Oahnip, Lawman , and Benjamin the pirate?  Are they deleted from the system . or have I just not randomed enough to get them ?

Is there a way to base the increase in raiders on how quickly the last wave was destroyed?

Definitely Turrets should be controlled by colonists too. More like say those 50 cal bubble pods from the old bomber planes. A way for a colonist to fire bigger badder weapons. OR a control station that can handle say 5 mini turrets or one big turret .

The calculation should still include colony age though .
Maybe something like
max raiders next wave= (total colonists +4 , +1 per mini turret, +4 per big turret, +1 per new wave ) x Last wave quickness mod
