Ideas / Farm-able Berry Bushes/No roofed trees

Okay so basically your able to plant Raspberry bush and your able to harvest them every 3 days, like wild ones, and produce the same amount as wild ones. However, the bushes have a very long growing time till they're mature enough to produce berries about one Quadrum. Along with being able to plant the berry bushes you can replant wild ones anywhere, However depending on the grow skill the pawn replanting the bush might accidentally completely destroy the wild berry bush.  The also have a 1 space gap between each other, like trees.
Speaking of trees it doesn't make sense you can build a roof over a fully grown tree

Will do. But what resolved it was me manually drafting the other pawn that was trying to eat the meal and then prioritizing the researching pawn to eat it. Sorta like how in the old builds you had to stop one pawn getting a thing so that another could get the thing.

Summary: After deconstructing a ship chunk there is a 5% chance of triggering this event. If triggered this message would pop up:
"This ship chunk seems to have recorded the location of a uninhabited weapons factory nearby"
it could then be marked on the map permanently or dismissed
Rewards/Consequences:
Cheap basic guns and little steel and components.
20% Chance of triggering "Abandoned Weapons Factory(B)"


  • Abandoned Weapons Factory(B)
Type of Event: Quest
Ease of Implementation: Easy-Moderate
Summary: After entering the building this would trigger
"It's a trap! raiders are dropping in on top of us!"
Rewards/Consequences: Attacked by 2-5 raiders

(note: These would be mostly for early game)

Again i'm not sure if this is a bug but I had a pawn who was researching and that is starving there is 1 simple meal in the freezer. I tell the researching pawn to prioritize eating the simple meal but as soon as he stops researching he goes back to researching (instantly). The source of the problem is that another pawn is trying to eat the same meal. However shouldn't the pawn who i prioritized to eating the meal eat it?

The desktop is barely 8 months old, and was built as a top of the line gaming PC. I'm normally saving the game to SSD, but I changed savepaths to my HDD to check if that was the source of the problem.
Sadly, it wasnt.
Desktop? i thought you said laptop earlier but if its on both machines then there's probably is a problem. Weird that's it slow on the SSD though

Okay so one of my pawns went into mental break daze because of starvation. Shortly after his break we managed to get some food, but he would eat it he just stood there wandering. His malnurtrition got up to 55%, it started at 0, before he came out of it and ate food. Please change the mental break for starvation Tynan this makes no sense.

Bugs / [A17 1536] Animals eating prisoners food

Im not sure if this is a bug, but it seems like is it is. Anyways one of my pawns gave a sleeping prisoner a simple meal and as soon as he left a elk came in the room an ate it. Technically it doesnt seem like a bug but i dont think this is an intended feature. (The elk also has access to food the room was right next to the freezer.)

it could be your hardware how old is your laptop and do you have a hdd or sdd and if you have an hdd is it nearly full?

Personally I'd prefer sticking to the existing "ate fine meal" and the one for having a really nice bedroom, as those directly reward the player for taking action to provide these nicer things for the pawn. I don't hate the suggestion but it seems a little odd to give a reward for something the pawn was going to do anyway (fill up on food/sleep until rested) regardless of the quality of what was consumed.
I'm suggesting this because there's so many negative mood debuffs for these things so why cant there be at least one positive one? and aren't you a little happier after you wake up or have a full meal?

"fallen tree" randomly spawns around maps that have lot of trees (temperate forest, boreal forest, etc) it provides cover and yields wood

It would be nice for a overlay that colorcoats the level of soil for example green would be rich soil and sand would be red. this could be usefull to help new players to locate where to place growing zones. it could also be useful during the winter where it is hard to tell what that soil type is.(because you dont want to build a bedroom or solarpanel on rich soil)
