Just want to add my voice to those who appreciate your thoughtfully integrated mod.  I love this game, and have played it unmodded, with a few mods, and with mod packages.  Yours is by far the most enjoyable and well balanced.  I know you haven't had much time, or perhaps even access to the mods you incorporated, and the new release will soon be here.  Again, I just wanted to thank you and express my hope that you will create the ModVarietyPack for the next version.

There is one here, in the mods section.  It's called meat substitute, updated for a 12.
The "meat" is grown like a crop, and called quorn (add smiley face).  I like it so much that I want to try to use it with the Mod Variety Pack.  Animals do eat it.

I am an older player who loves games.  A recent injury has kept me away from my computer, but I had the loan of a notebook to keep up on the game news.  No playing, but  watching.  I discovered let's plays, and eventually found Rimworld.  I love this game.  Watching it and playing it (a gift from my kids).  Therapy! 
I like resource management games and rpg's best.  Oatmeal is the best breakfast cereal.
Don't anyone give up on this game.  This is a wonderful game.
