It says you don't have access to that folder, so I'm curious if you're logged on to the user "Vanessa" on the computer? Only that username (as well as administrators) will have access to that folder. If you copy paste "%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios" into the explorer address field, it should take you directly to that folder, assuming you're on windows 7. Do the paths match?

Edit: And while you're in that folder, you may want to right click, and select properties, and from there check the "Security" tab, to see if the user you're logged on as has access to:
Modify, Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, Write.

The problem is that it cannot be replicated in vanilla RimWorld, so it IS a mod issue, the question is what causes it. The only thing that I know of that definitely causes microstutters in Unity is excessive use of strings, instead of using StringBuilder(), but I have absolutely no idea if modders are unaware of this, or if it's even possible for them to use the alternatives, since I've never tried any modding in RimWorld outside of editing xml's.
All I know is that we tested it extensively in vanilla without replicating it at all, even late game with colony-wealth up to 1.7 million.

Depends on the size of the update, I suppose. If it's a small one, then it'll probably arrive sooner. The devs tend to avoid using dates though, so we can't be certain.

There are regular updates with names. Last one was October 2nd. The one before that was in 31st of May. Not sure if that indicates any frequency, but I'd assume your name is going to be added in the next update, whenever that is.

There have been optimisation patches since launch. Last one was October 2nd.

168% sleep efficiency. If money is no object, use jade for the royal bed, as it doesn't mess up the comfort, and it'll set the flamable to 0%. As a bonus, it'll look beautiful.

Isn't that already an option you can set on the custom scenario screen? I know you can make traits MORE frequent, would be strange if it didn't work the other way around too. Just set the slider to 0% or something for the trait in question.

Don't think value has any impact I've been attacked by 1 manhunting deer with 30 000 worth of drugs in the saddlebags. Size probably does though. If I had to take a guess, I'd say caravan size and difficulty settings are the ones that affect it.

I've seen people crawl in front of an LSW (light support weapon) during a firefight, without a care in the world. With untrained people friendly fire is a pretty legit thing.

I've never actually followed the tutorial, but I thought it didn't lock anything out? That it was more of a "hey, here are some hints for setting up your base"? Are the trees nearby fully grown? Most trees can only be chopped down for wood when they reach 65% growth.

It's a bit of a tricky one though. The text is clickable, as are the portraits. The text would need to stay visible, otherwise there'd be no point in having it in the first place, so somehow the text would have to go on top of the portraits, AND be clickable outside of the colonist portrait area, and at the same time the colonist portraits would have to be clickable even with the text on top of them. I think it should be possible, if one plays around with the layers a bit, but I have no doubt that it's a boring thing to implement.

Currently the messages block our access to the colonist bar. Due to the location of the colonist bar leaving a slight opening to the left of it, it would still be possible to click on it if it was behind the portraits. As it is right now, it's kinda frustrating to wait 2-3 seconds for a message about someone being nuzzled to disappear when you desperately need to click on a character to do something important.

Ludeon only releases new updates when I'm unable to play them. They timed every single major update in the alpha to coincide with my exams. There's no way that was coincidence.
Edit: Planning my PhD for spring 2077, just to prove it.
