Grass is free, but it is not enought to feed lots of animals, a medium size map can support 20 chickens!
But in the desert, where I am, I just have a 8 chickens for egg and 4 dogs for defense. I sell everything else I tame or self-tame!
I also got a pair of alpacas, but the milk/wool is not worth the investiment! I need to plant a 10x10 square of hay in the small fertile land I have (with 100% fertility) to feed them all, all the rest of the land I have are for corn, the hydroponics are used on demand, normally for medicine/beer/cotton.

Bugs / Re: Thrumbo horn price nerf

This is impossible, I just sold on for like over 1.000!
There are just 2 possibilities:
1- Your thumbo horn is with 5% health.
2 - You are playing with that random storyteller, and you got a really random price!

Tamed animals still get mad in 14!

On 14b, I was getting thumbos visit everyweek (I am rich), but also I got man hunting elephants, most of them without elephants tusk!
It was a pack of 10 of them, if you think rhinos are hard, it is because you didn´t fight elephants!
Like all fights, it was a firing and retreating drill, we were close to the last turret on the other side of the base when the last elephant died! It was a long time to replace all blow up turrets, but I had meat for almost 3 years! Too bad I only got 4 tusks, I didn´t had see an elephant in the game before, and they are harder to kill them centipedes! Tusks can be used as weapon, but with all the thumbo money, I had everyone with charge rifles and plasteel swords.

Turn of the run in background option! maybe this will help, it comes turned off by default!

Cow produces 8 times more milk them the other mammals! They are maybe worth of having!
Chicken eggs are awesome, I always try to some chickens, I sell/slay all male but one, so I get more unfertilized eggs and controls the population grow up, since I only get unfertilized egg to cook!
I use some dogs to help with the hauling but they normally die in combat, I fail to understand the usefulness of Yorkshires.
I saw some people placing bounded animals to sleep in the same room as the owner, without I guide I have no idea why they do that! I heard there are some bonuses!

I normally try to recruit, Leader pawn normally have uber stats!

Also I love the irony of seeing him killing the people he used to command!

I lost my first bionic arm to a failed operation!
But I was using medical bed + herbal medicine.
Since them I am only using medical bed + glitter world on prosthetic operations only and I never failed again!
Implant = 500 - 2000 silver, gliter world medicine from 70-100, I think it is worth the investment!

I took a peek at the code, here's what I found out:

Damage reduction from different pieces of apparel does stack, kinda. The calculation is performed separately for each part, so while the effect do stack, there's a difference between having one super-strong armor and more weaker armor pieces.

Armor rating up to 50% reduces damage dealt directly. Anything above 50% reduction instead provides chance to resist the hit completely. Above 100% armor rating, both damage reduction and chance to resist the hit increase, but only at quarter the normal rate. Both damage reduction and chance to resist are capped at 90%. All damage blocked is applied to the armour.

To give an example: B0rsuk's superior power armour has 84% sharp armor rating. A pawn wearing this armour gets shot in the torso. The armour reduces damage by 50% and also gives 34% chance for no damage.

If he were to instead give the pawn a superior hyperweave shirt (31.2% sharp armor) and a superior hyperweave duster (52% sharp armour), the pawn only takes 50% * 68.8% = 34.4% damage from the shot, but also has only 2% chance to avoid the hit entirely. If you add a normal armour vest in, the shot would deal 50% * 50% * 68.8% = 17.2% damage with additional 12% chance to resist entirely.

Just used the search tool and found the awnser!

It doesn't seem to matter, but it would be nice if it would; right now I'm playing in a perma fallout extreme desert and I use poison ships as a defence (since all the flora & fauna is gone anyway), but sometimes they will just attack from a different area rendering my poison ship defence useless :)

Also; neutral/friendly towns are on the map (purple/green dots) they're just a little harder to spot than the red ones, but if you use elevation mode they all stand out pretty well:

In alpha 13 the poison ship killed my hydroponic farms!
I don´t know how you are making food without hydroponic in a toxic fallout setting!

Explain to me what is deflection damage!
Better to explain the complete math because I am using:
On the torso:
Devilstrand duster (50% cutting)
Cotton Button down shirt (10% cutting)
Armor vest (something like 60%)

And I still take like 10 points of damage from charge rifles to the chest!

Get a non-violence colonist, assign all the animals to that person. Voila you got all the yorkshires safe and sound with the most cowardly person ever. =P

The problem is, all my yorkshire loves to bond with my melee fighters!

Yeah, like the last person said, set the bed in the fridge to be the person bed and it will work!

Another good option would be to help other pawns move to the hospital bed!
I was fighting a siege, one of my pawn got hit in both legs and took almost a full day to walk to the hospital bed, almost dying of hunger and sleep! It could be worst!
