Yes your colonist will eat 16 pemican each meal - 16*0.05 =0.8 please note that 10 food make 1 meal, why 10 food make (13? I forgot pemicans) so it is less efficient but not by mach.

Ypu probably playing on to hard dificulty for you, because you should have been able to mutigate most of this problems. Example, You animals die form toxic fallout. You have tools to restrick your animals indors, so they do not get poisoned and limit there exposion to poson. Even grass eating animals should be fine, if you let them out at moghing, let them eat and then send them indor after.

It is not a bug, some raw food can be eaten with out bad effect, Corn and berries are one of examples. This is true in real life and in a game.

Personally i do not see the point. I find it is fun to start with random colonists and deal with thinks they can not do well or other problems they might have.

I found an interesting use of them.

Realize them against sieges. Siegers will kill them, they will explode and create areas of fire in what singers consider home zone. That let you to shot ot them with practical immunity why they putting out fires, or can lead to shell explosion which probably will finish siege anyway.

I believe current priority is the most sick person get treated first. I believe it is a right priority, any moral doctor who took Hippocratic oath will do that. You can always manually override that in order to heal your better doctor, but even if you puch up a doctor his manipulation will still be impaired making him at best mediocre in doctoring at that moment. Observation that prisoners seems have priority is simply come from fact that they tend to be closer to death then your own colonists.

I just want to point out that is it natural to eventually loose interest on the game.

We are human been who is governed by un satisfaction. End game, by default would be a bit artificial anyway on this kind of game. Righ now it is trying to survive why at the same time get enough steel for ship.
Some numbers are really make it simply harder to get steel so you need to survive waves of attacks longer.
Example, I melted new pristine mini gun and get 10 steel for that? Clearly attempt to make getting steel harder but by making functionality unusable. It is clear a way to make getting steel harder, or some one believe colony had to easy with steel, but done just by destroying part of the game. That one of beefs i have, because it left you feel cheated...

Lablador and husky are not pets. They cann carry/rescue and attack.

Cats are probably best pure pets, can do nothing.

And I want to clarify a bit. My collapse suggestion does not imply roof drooping steel or chunks. No, My suggestion was roof collapse creating pristine rock, like there was originally. Id does not need to have same mineral content like original rock, with all same abilities.
