For clarity, file creation isn't where it's breaking, I can see CCL editing MCM_Data_Minimap.xml with the expected data whenever I tweak the minimap settings in-game. The problem only occurs when restarting the game after making changes, where CCL ignores the custom settings in MCM_Data_Minimap.xml entirely and just loads the default ones.

Is there any way to deal with sieges in this mod? I got one with 2 sniper rifles and an SMG when all I had was a survival rifle, a few bows, and a couple clubs, which as you can imagine, went south pretty fast. I figured the author of the mod intended sieges to be waited out so I kept the game running, but the raiders seem to getting infinite ammo resupplies and the mortars do massive damage compared to vanilla. Am I missing something or do I just need to rush sniper rifles very early to counter these?

I'm having an issue with pump-action shotguns where the colonist never fires it at threats that are in range, and if I right-click a target manually, I get "Cannot hit target". There are no obstructions between the colonist and the target, and it is within range. The shotgun is the only weapon that seems to be doing this. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

I also tried disabling all mods except CCL, just in case another mod was causing a conflict, but the minimap settings from the file are still not loaded, and immediately overwritten by the defaults whenever I use the minimap settings window.

Doesn't look like there's any errors (those are shown in red, right?). There's just a few lines about several of CCL's modules being initialized, one of them the minimap controller. I would paste the log here but I'm not sure how to copy it.

I've found the file that CCL uses to store minimap settings and it seems like it's modified with the expected RGB values every time I make changes in the menu, but my game just doesn't seem to load the custom settings from the file on startup.

I just started using the minimap, and the color settings reset to their defaults every time I restart the game. I assume that's not intended?

Help / Overwriting core classes

I'm trying to make a simple mod that adds a Max Skill Level slider to the bill configuration window, in addition to the existing Min Skill Level. I've identified the classes that need to be edited (RimWorld.Bill and RimWorld.Dialog_BillConfig), and having read through the wiki's tutorials, I understand that I need to make an XML definition so that the game loads my modified classes instead of the Core ones.

However, for the life of me I can't figure out where the XML defs reference either of these classes. Dialog_BillConfig doesn't even seem to be present anywhere in \Mods\Core\Defs, and Bill shows up in a few places but none of them pointing towards the Bill class. I know they're supposed to be referenced somewhere, because I've seen some definitions that work this way (for example, HaulToCell lists JobDriver_HaulToCell as its class) but that doesn't seem to be the case for the bill classes. Are these just not possible to mod, or am I missing something here?
