Not mine. It's like a constant 5-10 degree temperature difference.

Given the specific numbers I'm seeing, I'm thinking it wasn't always like this. I'll see mid-low 40s in a room, 50s in the hallways, and 70s outdoors.

But my cooler breaks down, and it rapidly climbs 10-20 degrees in a few in-game hours (which was what I normally saw in A13, as well) despite having an airlock, and 2-tile thick walls.

Yes, this is exactly what I'm saying. The temperatures are not at all influenced by the presence of vents, or the opening or closing of doors.

10 degrees of difference between two internal rooms with vents/locked-open doors is definitely a sign of "not working". Not "not working as well" but straight up "not working".

It's not like the doors were just opened, or the vents were recently installed. They've been installed for a while, and I've kept the doors open for an extended period of time in an effort to equalize temperatures.

Also, just because yours is working doesn't mean that it's not a bug. Bugs are rarely universal; When they are, they're usually discovered before being released to the public, if the developer is any good at all, and I've seen nothing to suggest that Tynan is anything less than a professional developer.

So your claims that it's working fine for you are completely irrelevant.

Some ideas I'd love to see with this, eventually:

- A setting to limit players to only be able to trade with others using the same world seed
- *Caveat to the above, maybe require a comms panel/orbital trade beacons to allow trading to other worlds
- A setting that puts other players settlements (using the same world seed) on your map, so you can't build in the same location (much like existing settlements)
- A setting that restricts certain items from being traded
- A setting to set required mods (or restricted ones)
- A setting to set required/restricted Scenarios
- A setting to require Permadeath mode, and auto-save interval

All of this would be configurable by the server owner, so they can set their servers to have specific rules and themes.

Either you're misunderstanding, or you're incorrect.

Doors and vents in A13 worked properly to equalize room temperature between two connected rooms.

Now they do not.

The outlines aren't what he's talking about. He's got a setup where he's tested various aspects of the air flow system, and he's explaining the image.

What I've noticed is a bedroom and a hallway having drastically different room temperatures sometimes 10-degree differences, even when connected by a vent or an open door.

Yes, I should specify that I *am* getting the errors popping up on the tracker. What I mean is that I haven't noticed any errors in-game.

I've heard of people squashing that particular error by modifying something in the files to tell it to point to A14, but I haven't bothered, as I'm only concerned about things affecting my play of the game.

I saw the same behavior that JLBShecky describes on A13. I haven't played around with it enough on A14 to know if it's still occurring.

I can confirm that the A13 versions of Lights and Vents work for my A14 game, with no visible issues.

A13 Coolers is broken, and will freeze your game entirely if you attempt to build one.

So... You want the game to play itself?

Seriously, all of that stuff is what the game is.

There is a mod that simplifies some of that (look for Colony Manager by Fluffy) but if the game did all of that for you, there shouldn't be much point in playing the game.

There's a big topic on this right now. I don't know that I'd recommend reading it, though. There's a... Mix of different opinions. Tynan hasn't weighed in on the topic, but I really hope he's receptive.

Is there any intent to expand the Backstories functionality beyond what was previously part of the mod? I'd really like an easy way to completely override all existing names, backstories and pregen-pawns with custom options.
