  I don't know whether it's a bug or not.
Honestly, I think it's a bit underpowered and
makes me think of Rome. Has anybody else
never had an issue with this?

Off-Topic / If Jesus can turn water into wine...

Then we should be able to transform sugar
into water vapor with the aid of an oxygen
tank and lighters.

Presently many people seem to think that
sand is too cheap of a commodity. I doubt
it could be redeveloped as insulation for
more offshore housing near acid swamps.
Even so, many people probably would like
the view but still probably wouldn't ask about
the plumbing, gas leaks and damage to glass
panes from quakes.

Ideas / Spiralling rainbow chert leaf tiles...

It's nothing new; it's just more of the same.

So, I was talking to my sister yesterday asking what could
be added to Rimworld and she suggested horse-drawn buggy
time machines. I suspect that ambushes by beast-men could
also be established. So, who's with us?

Ideas / Dune buggies for raiders...

 Hi-ya or hell no?

I think it would be more fun if animals could tear clothes off of
raiders with a chance of mood losses for raiders resulting from
the encounter. Perhaps the mood loss could kick in when taken
as prisoner immediately after combat though. It wouldn't seem
to be fair to the colony otherwise.

Ideas / Colony collapse disorder for animals...
September 07, 2016, 04:47:56 PM
So, I was thinking about the bees yesterday and my friend said, "If colony collapse disorder is good enough for the bees then why can't Rimworld animals have it?" Of course, I explained to my friend then and there the Rimworld philosophy that animals have their own sub-cultures with complicated relationships. What may be inaccurately perceived as colony collapse disorder could be the plague. Only Tynan could say for sure. So, what do you think? Yay or nay?

I can understand if there would even be a deposit charge provided to the stone carver/miner. As such, I suppose it's fine in theory to have something like marble or obsidian statue checking/savings accounts. However, I'm not sure that stone brokers would buy it. What do you think?

My rich explorer character Geghan, from the old game save file that I had to delete, had burning passions for melee, social, cooking, construction and mining. His starting disappointing score counts in them were 10, 10, 4, 6 and 6 accordingly. Geghan was 18 years old, psychically dull, industrious and an optimist.
I'm just grateful that he wasn't a fast walker and a brawler. That would have ruined the game for me. Prior to being deleted he had a starting score of 5 in shooting which made me question my upbringing. Now I feel relieved to be able to start again with a more realistic character.

A potential setting for a new lunar-like biome or a scene for a new Dr. Who episode? Who knows?!

I mean, why not have mining speculators sell virtual reality Doom haunted mine shoot 'em up recovery simulations for the individual under the influence of alcohol or drugs like marijuana? That's probably where all the money is anyway...

Ideas / New Storyteller Prosthetic Patty...
August 27, 2016, 06:12:26 PM
So, I thought the game couldn't exactly use a new storyteller
called Prosthetic Patty. His/her specialization would likely not be in prosthetic diseases like prosthetic synapse anemia and prosthetic natural disasters like prosthetic meltdown or prosthetic shock. Even so, I was thinking the game could use a storytelling moderator to moderate conversations between PCs and NPCs.

They claim you welched on a bet or it's for protection/insurance; you claim it's a business loan for unpaid rent.

Let's not make this happen and let the assumers postulate their thesis.

I mean, having Alcoholic Rehabilitation Clinics negotiate alcoholic fines for little or no money down in exchange for work done on farms may seem nice for the less wealthy but what are the democrats really after? Breathalyzer tests for all? A traffic cop in every classroom? Keeping victims of discrimination off the streets? Who knows?

Stories / My new colony...
August 23, 2016, 08:33:33 PM
So, I started a game of a desert-side Randy Random on Rough. Undoubtedly there will be conflict since Larami the girl is gay and
local pretty girl Brendy is an alcoholic. The only other girl is Xefan
who has burning passions for shooting and construction but doesn't
have much else going on. Pretty girl Brendy is the only one with a
passion for healing and there are only two guys to round out the group.
Most of my tribe members should be super productive but nobody has
a social skill higher than a 5 for socializing. Yeah... I hope Randy takes
it easy on me!

Ideas / More Mafia Engineering Partnerships...
August 23, 2016, 03:26:35 PM
So, I noticed lately the lack of Mafia Engineering Partnerships in Rimworld selling genetic plant patents and leasing horticulturists. Is there any word as to whether something like that would be feasible in Rimworld?

Can Rimworld have the military rent out empty fields from farmers to hold military drills? May tribes rent out farm fields for Olympic events and parades? I mean, it's not as though farmers have to earn additional funds somehow to fund farming operations.

I'm not asking for any mining contestant to be endorsed by big name companies looking to advertise. Also, I'm not expecting any contestant
to enter in the hopes of winning a cash prize bonus. I'm just hoping that Rimworld stays classy without compromising the core that is Rimworld.
