The mod team is dead. Long live the mod team...

Had quite some stuff to update over the last weeks and barely any time to do it. The mod is finally in a playable state again and I think I can get an update out within the week.

You mean instead of droppods, a cargofreighter comes down and unloads the goods you traded?

Well, maybe it'll come some way down the line. I guess for now it just isn't as important as focusing on the more basic gameplay. This mod is an easy-option after all, since it surpasses the normal caravan traveling.

I'm progressing towards A17, shouldn't take forever now before I can update.

Unfortunately I'm quite busy at the moment. Just today I slowly started updating my mods, which due to their sice will take some time.

Well, development and bugfixing has come to a crawl as I'm basically out of spare time. Although it looks like I'm getting some help in the foreseeable future.

A Discord server is set up, time to populate it. It's still rather empty right now, maybe I'll be able to fill in some stuff during the day.

I have to admit I didn't even have time to check the changes in A17 for updating the mod, so probably it'll take some time to adjust all the XMLs. I'll take a look at saving psyker powers for that  bug.

As you prepare for a17, please note an error that keeps occurring in my game with tau rail rifles and pulse rifles. When I load any save, those weapons that are already spawned lose their textures in the main thread.

Loaded my ship with animals (yorkshire terriers), sold them all at nearest town. Then, when the ship returned to base, I found the animals are still listed as cargo. So I unloaded them, and now they are all 'wild' (with options to hunt or tame). They aren't listed as belonging to that town's faction.

Weird, since they should disappear normally after trading. I'll take a look as soon as I can.

Noticed that there was still the vanilla code for affecting faction colors, it's fixed now. Problem is hidden factions don't get affected by the normal gift-option.

Corruption still isn't quite balanced, I don't want to make it too quick because then you'd be constantly getting corrupted pawns.
There are corrupted weapons (like the warpstaff) that affect the soul. In the current version this is the most proactive thing you can do. Other than that there's a new mapcondition-incident (corruptive drone).

There are effigies and corrupting books in the making, there'll be a wanderer incident where a corrupted pawn comes and talks to your people, and the range of corrupted weapons/apparel will increase. The code for demonic possession after reading certain books is finished.

The dark altar is more of an asthetic piece, currently there's no code associated that influences the pawns, apart from what the prayer has to say. And skulls are way too prevalent in the Imperium to make a real impact on the corruption-meter.

And spawning with composite armor doesn't work right: the random non-stuff color is not generated.

I noticed the latter too recently. At least when it's spawned on pawns directly. Will try and fix that.

Shields are doable, since there are a lot of them out there already. I'm just currently busy with other stuff.

It should be very much possible. Just look at the Comp for drawing the flag. In theory this can be applied to anything you can build. Right now the graphical options are limited though since I haven't included directory modification in the XML. Also right now this was intended for player colonies only, so if the AI builds one of these, it will draw the player graphic.

  • When a single ship is selected, you get to define the exact position; supported by a drawing-ghost
  • Fuel consumption rate of the dropship adjusted to 10/s
  • Worldmap travel speed adjusted to 0.5 tiles/s

  • Opened the shipyard for additional ship types
