But the last thing I want to do is burn my precious weed stockpile.
Hmmm, given the profitability of drug dealing in Rimworld... I'm surprised there's no interstellar cartel raiding planets to shut down rogue producers. Maybe that's a new raid type Tynan needs to put in.

Remove the debuff "saw a corpse" when watching corpses of non colonists. Make it appear only if the pawn has been around a corpse for 2 or 4 hours.
I get pawns can live with corpses nearby, I get that pawns care about other pawns and that these should be buried, but they shouldnt go all emo when seeing a dead raider/s who tried to kill you. Or just unkown people like visitors or refugees.
I really want to dump raiders corpses at the entrance of my colony so that attackers see them when coming to visit.
On that note, we need the option to build heads on sticks.

I'd like to take this chance to bring up again, how attaching bionics makes your colonist weaker. A leg had 5 toes, a bunch of bones and a couple of other parts that can get hit by a bullet. A bionic leg has one - 'the leg'. If a regular person gets shot in the leg, there is a chance it might take off a toe, maybe 2. That same shot hits a bionic leg, the leg is going to be destroyed. The is counter intuaitive.
Oh, I get it. They're cheap knockoff bionics (probably made by Apple) that shatter on the inside when they get hit and just simply cannot be repaired modularly.
That explains a lot.

I get that. Not putting an on/off switch for nerves just seems like a really stupid design oversight though. Annoying, possibly painful, difficult to design? Probably. But one thousand plus years is a long time to not make any improvements to bionics over what we may have by next year. I think we may be interpreting the situation differently from one another, I was never upset, frustrated, etc. at any point. And again, last time I checked, (at least in most soft and hard sci fi settings) bionic limbs are pretty much really complicated machines plugged into the nervous system of a living thing. And yeah I haven't taken a biology class in quite a while.
But that still doesn't explain why herbs would help with numbing pain in something made of plasteel/steel rather than flesh and bone.

October 28, 2016, 06:41:01 PMQuote from: Thane on October 28, 2016, 10:19:05 AMReattachment of BIONIC hands should be possible with a bionic limb already in place without medicine. Please explain why medicine would be needed to disconnect a few wires, unscrew the connection, and put a different hand on the same way? What do you mean suspend disbelief? I'm suggesting that bionic limbs be treated as machines. You know, the metal kind that doesn't bleed or get infected, and can be taken apart.
Attaching human limbs is extremely difficult takes something like 12 hours and 60 surgeons with today's tech. You want them to be able to do it on a freaking rock with herbs?
Yeah no. Bionics are glitterworld tech. I can suspend disbelief there. A more complex bionics layout might be nice.

Replacing hands should be possible on bionic limbs without medicine, and preserve the original hand for later reattachment.
Bionic hands and feet.
Variants of bionic feet:
Sprinter legs: faster running, enables shooting while running, reduces weapon accuracy slightly.
Stabilizer: increases weapon accuracy and decreases weapon cooldown considerably, reduces speed quite a bit.
Just a quick idea I had

There's a "beta" setting for the current stable version through steam, so you can finish your previous save that way. It's a godsend for mod abusers like me.

Make some incapabilities go away with time. Cleaning, hauling, plant cutting, and violence mostly. Sure some people are stubborn and won't lift a finger until they die, but sheriffs need to be made useful somehow.

General Discussion / Re: How do you protect outside power lines?
October 26, 2016, 08:38:27 PM
Have redundant wiring, and use fueled power almost exclusively anyways. Six fueled generators produces double the power of a geothermal in 2/3 the space. Geothermals are nice for consistency, but they're outclassed entirely.
