The issue with Recreation Tolerance is it's really easy to set up a situation where colonists barely do any Solitary Recreation. I had an arctic colony on the brink of collapse (without any set Joy hours) and the colonists only did Solitary Recreation once in a blue moon. It was also extremely easy for a colonist to get "stuck" doing a recreation at just 10% efficiency.

I found this bug just before the new build got put up, but it looks like a colonist's equipped Revolver just disappeared. I think swapping rapidly back & forth between equipping a Wood Log caused it.

Recreation tolerance seems broken. Before I built a Horseshoes Pin, Social tolerance reached 99% and colonists would just eternally socialize. Now that I've built the Horseshoes, both tolerances are hovering at 80%. I think I'll have to build a Chess Table just to make recreation effective again.

Tropical swamp has the same issue. I agree, it does feel strange.

(And I don't know how well it would balance the year-round growing because even if there were wild fruit, it would only make a difference in the few days before players have fields up & running.)

Oh, my biggest one is... burning right now. How much time we get to upload it? Probably I could upload one of the newest that I have.

A giant burning colony seems like a perfect example of RimWorld.

I suppose moderately-sized colonies won't fit the bill?

Can confirm.

Source: Am ded.

I find it hard to believe people are complaining about the tornado having a lack of player agency but not the meteor that randomly squishes part of the map.

Has anyone confirmed the meteorites can kill people?

So, what happens to the 5 people you don't choose at the start? Are they just trashed? Or are they likely to pop up in escape pods/etc later in the scenario?

8 days into a colony, my brawler got shivved in the brain for 4 points of damage by a 62-yr old raider with 0 Melee and a Steel Shiv. Hopefully this is not a harbinger of things to come.

To Tynan:

I'd file this under Bugs, except I'm not sure whether it's Working As Intended or not.

Did you want Tropical Rainforests/Swamps to have no harvestable wild plants?

It feels really strange for the most biodiverse region on the planet to have nothing edible growing when even Tundra regions have some berries & healroots.

It seems I can't do any of these "Incapacitated refugees" in Tropical Swamp, they are all farther than their remaining life time...and Caravan forming is always a whole odyssey itself.

Well, technically you could launch Droppods to them to reach them in time.

It's strange to see the tornado form during Clear weather; it should at least be Cloudy, preferably Dry/Rainy Thunderstorm.

Also, does the tornado have a delay between forming and touching down? That would give colonists a bit of time to get out of the way without nerfing the tornado too much.

Bugs / [0.18.1700] Boomalope Meat Cargo Pods Explode

I was watching a group of cargo pods land when one of them made an explosion sound (but no actual explosion). The cargo was boomalope meat.

I don't think it's Ancient Ruins; there's no visible ancient ruins and very few hills.
