I used the detour lib of HugsLibs. It's amazing, convenient and safer.

Noticed that when you click on the "food" field, it's ranked by the absolute value of the need (instead of the percentage). The maximum value of this varies depending on the race.
So when having a look at the animal list and sorting them by their food need, it doesn't look well ranked.

- Number of pets, their hunger and access to food within their allowed area.
- Number of prisoners.

I had not much doubts the problem comes from the mod.
Yet I want to examine the exact situation when possible and sometime, player don't have so many mods (I personally do !) so I ask for a save.

My mod outputs this warning message, but don't worry, it's harmless for mechanoid corpses. I'll just suppress it.

Regarding the lag.

I can't play your save game, you have too many mods. Thank you anyway ^^'.

So I did the same thing with many pets and figured out that the game goes laggy when few animals (even 3-4 or more) are hungry and begin to seek for food at the same time.
But that don't happen with all races... It's very weird. I don't know exactly what's happening.
Smarter food selection doesn't change the pathfinding itself, only the food score.

I'm having a bad time trying to improve the performance of the food score calculation.

Since A16, all minified non vanilla "minifiable" objects will weight 1kg. I can haul my entire power system with one guy.

There is a "guilty" tag for prisoners. I don't really know how to make a mod would balance this now.

A psychic ship just crashed within my walls.
I attack it, it spawns 2 centipedes and 2 scythers. After downing one scyther, the remaining mecanoids began to exit the map.... WTF ?? This never happened in A15 to me. Is this a bug ? Are mecanoids scary now ?
I checked their toils and it was well "Exit map" too...

Found a bug: the quality builder icon (the green arrow) will show up on all maps.

Have a look at my mod "WM Smarter food selection".
It has a lot of features for prisoners and pets and one of them is that your pets will never eat fertilized eggs or crops. Exactly what you need I think.
They will also try to hunt, eat human corpses, kibble or hay before anything else. For more details go to the topic.

I just tried the A15 version in A16 and no, it's not.
I'll try to upgrade it.

Edit: I just tried to upgrade it and it is harder than expected. I won't update it before a week.
