That really small number is the hard coded value of food fall per tick.

I probably should have mentioned that :P

I was being super annoying about it for no reason really. Maybe I was having a bad day, and just felt like being nitpicky haha

Mods typically have compatibility issues across alphas, yeah... I can't speak for the developers of CCL. It's a much bigger project than I would ever dedicate my free time to. However, they may still update it for people who want to continue to play the Alpha 15 version.

I have a few friends who have previous alpha versions saved, along with some old mods compatible with those versions. I think they're weirdos... But that's just my opinion lol

Honestly, the whole health system could use a little love. Limbs are too prone to being destroyed (literally), prosthestics are flawed in the lacking of any connected parts (as mentioned above), and internal organs are too protected by the torso... I know combat realism fixed a few of these things, but they shouldn't require a mod.

I can imagine the wiring of those bionic limbs are connected to the peripheral and central nervous systems. A bionic limb which offers sensation (required for increased manipulation abilities, so you don't have to look to see how much pressure you're applying to something) might send a very uncomfortable impulse through the body due to the damage, causing extreme distress. Medicine as an anesthetic would prevent such distress, in the same way it prevents distress during organ transplants and other similar operations.

I can't help but feel like your understanding of prosthesis and general human physiology is incredibly shallow.

Don't get so upset so easily. The person you're quoting agreed that a more complex bionics layout could be a nice addition.

It's a slow-growing parasite. I tried to make it slow enough to catch and treat. That last stage is meant to kill the infected person via starvation, and should only be occurring in neglected individuals.

I'll take a look at it :)

I might look into adding a drug which will inhibit the parasite's ability to steal nutrition from the body.

Update: There was a mathematical error on my part. I'll have a hotfix up in a moment. It'll be save compatible :)

I didn't want to have to edit pawn defs, but it would certainly work. (Trying to keep things as compatible as possible)

First Unfinished Version is up!

I've fixed all of the bugs I could find on my own. Incompatibilities posted on the main page. Im making an active effort to prevent popular mod incompatibilities :)

Help / Genetic Diseases - Method Brainstorming

I'm trying to figure out a good way to insert a rare "genetic" global hediff into the game. For example: Sick Cell Anemia
The idea is: People of all ages can spawn with it (with a certain commonality), but people can't develop it due to age.
I had considered using HediffGiver_Birthday, but I don't think it's going to give me the results I'm looking for.
Part of the problem is that I have no clue how pawns are generated, or how their diseases (ie. artery blockage) are generated on spawn.

Thoughts? Any ideas would be super helpful.

I always thought a mechanoid hive mind would be a cool enemy unit :D

Where, once you destroy it, mechanoid raids either stop or are weakened for a while.

I was only interested because I'm curious about bleeding haha.

I plan on adding hemophilia (disease) to a mod I'm working on. If I can't figure out how to stop severity from decreasing over time, I want to make it so that they bleed out REALLY fast.

If you don't mind me asking. What inspired this mod for you? Hahahaha
