I did. I had it replaced with Psychology mod (since it does a similar thing?), and I no longer have the issue.
But then again, I didn't really move my colony again so it's not like I tried to reproduce it and failed.

This mod crashes Rimworld for me soon after start.
Using just Core, HugsLib and this will cause a crash -> and no useful output in /tmp/rimworld_log

I removed all of that, and some other stuff, but it's still crashing. I don't want to play with no other mods, so I'll wait until a dev can suggest which of the mods below might be causing issues:

I have a lot of issues with Combat Extended. To give some examples:

I have the same issue. It started happening when I moved my colony (abandoned the old one and moved to a new one)

I agree, it is weird. I tried looking around at the dependencies but couldn't figure out why it wasn't referencing it correctly, as things seemed defined.

So this leads me to believe that it runs for most users, and that it might be a Linux issue, and viola, it is!
Seats.Xml has the capital X in Xml, which causes an issue on Linux as it is case-sensitive.

From what I've read, the FB API isn't usable for this purpose as it doesn't let you export friends who aren't using the same app (https://developers.facebook.com/bugs/1502515636638396/). But maybe I'm missing something, not an expert there so wouldn't know.

I think this process could be made easier if there was a website where you could upload your "friends.htm" file and get the processed friend list CSV as a result, but it would hide the transparency of the process and make it necessary to keep a server running. An executable that includes python and the libs might be better, but far from perfect too.

I think I'll just claim it's open source and people are free to develop what they want with it :) I built it for myself and I'm content with it as it is - but feel free to contribute

Announcing RimWorld Friends, mod that puts your real life friends in game.

This is a simple mod and utility script that parses your exported Facebook friend list and uses your friend names for ingame pawns. There's a relatively small chance that an ingame pawn will take the name of someone from your list. Gender will also match if it's properly extracted (the API seems pretty reliable as long as the name is written in Latin or Cyrillic characters).

This won't be distributed by other means, mostly because getting and parsing the Facebook friend list requires the most amount of effort, and if it were easy, there would be potential privacy concerns.

I made this because I have a hard time caring for random pawns, and I'm too lazy to make fictional or real world characters manually. Anyway, don't be too brutal :)

Meanwhile in one of my latest runs, a new arrival in the colony killed one of my initial colonists during a social fight.
He was promptly executed and his corpse consumed raw.

Wish I had a way to stop social fights. Would also be funny if people could/would automatically join social fights. I doubt you'd let your wife get beaten by someone right next to you...

Ideas / Food restrictions

I would like to be able to restrict my people's diet to specific meals.
This would be done in a similar way as the area, gear and drug restrictions are, and would apply to both humans and animals. I guess it can be done prisoner-specific too.
In particular in most of my games where I have food production I would prevent people from eating corpses (both humanoid and animal) and raw food, as that sometimes requires too much micro when there's a food shortage.
Situations where I have 0 food and everyone's hungry and starts munching on the first batch of rice that comes in are super annoying, as it requires me to micro each person's move. I would prevent them from eating anything but (simple) meals so they don't break the harvesting/cooking jobs to eat rice.

When min/maxing I may also want to give fine/lavish (or both) meals only to some of the people in need, but I cannot do that yet. I almost never make the lavish meal as it requires quite a bit micro so only those that require it get it (otherwise it feels wasteful).

I'd obviously also add restrictions on what my animals eat. While I might be able to get away with achieving something similar by restricting them to specific zones, with hauling animals like dogs I don't think this is the right approach.

PS: I'm sure this has been asked before, but I haven't seen it in the Frequent Suggestions or in a simple forum search.
