Cant reproduce either, not to that degree at least, always get at least some level of temperature equalization. Did you devmode that room? Rooms placed with devmode do sometimes not behave correctly.
That being said, rooms with doors inside insulate incredibly well, double walls dont even come near that level of insulation.

Yeah, it was built in devmode, but from everything I could see the rooms were built correctly (I was paying attention to that since I did run into glitchy rooms during some of my earlier tests). I will note that the door-rooms have to be "primed" so you'll get some equalization to start with, but after a little while it settles into a steady state with no further equalization.

I have a screenshot somewhere of a colonist with a "Spacious Interior" mood buff while she was in her 1x2 doored cubby hole with a sleeping spot.

I can get you that same screenshot with a 2x2 or 3x3 (with the bed on a far wall). Colonists moods slowly shift towards their current surroundings, and all of the parts (except for comfort) are frozen while they sleep.

Sure, here it is.

I'm sure this maybe has been said before, but I can't be bothered to scroll through all 19 pages of this thread, so, I don't really know if this is an exploit, but if you make a room that is 2x1 with a door and a bed inside, colonists will use it as a bedroom and have no mood debuffs from it, thus making actual bedrooms not really useful.

It has, but it needs to be said more.  This is one of the most ridiculous exploits in the game, along with the vent trick, and wiring to use reconnect as a power switch.  Tynan, if you're reading this, I'd list that as answers 1, 2, and 3.

It's really not very much of an exploit at all. A 2x2 bedroom with a single bed works pretty much the same, except that it allows for the possibility of them deciding to pray/meditate in their bedroom (which is as much an advantage as it is a disadvantage). If you don't want the always-present 'impressive bedroom' buffs, then small bedrooms are supposed to work fine.

Would anyone be up for making me a sprite or two for Rimworld not-dogs (like weird gene-engineered pigs or something)? Basically I want to replace Huskies & Labradors with something that's similarly clean and easy to train for hauling, but doesn't remind me of my precious fur babies and make me feel awful whenever they get hurt at all.

Single beds, hospital beds, stools, and armchairs can all be sold to traders (that are willing to buy furniture). However, the three furniture items that can have art (Dining Chairs, Double Beds, and Royal Beds) cannot be sold to any trader. That doesn't make much sense, so I'm guessing the restriction is unintentional.

Opening/closing aren't "static conditions". The amount of time that the door is open does matter.

The capacity of coolers depends upon the temperature delta between the hot and cold side, reaching zero at a 130C difference. A freezer cooler venting into a 200F room is running at less than 30% capacity!

Heat does not conduct through through doors; instead, heat passes through doors by "mixing" the temperature between the rooms connected by the door. But if the door does not connect to any other rooms... then there is no heat exchange. Thus, a double "wall" where the inner layer of the wall is made out of doors is a perfect insulator. Combined with the new alpha 15 deep equalization behavior, this makes it possible (among other things) to create a sealed off "deep freezer" which maintains a constant temperature with no power requirement.

See the attached screenshot for an example chamber.

While switched on, both the Electric Smelter and the Electric Crematorium are supposed to produce about as much heat as an electric heater. However, when I tested this via god mode, both failed to heat the room containing them at all.

Additionally, both are supposed to produce additional heat while in use. But neither produces any appreciable amount of heat while running. I know why this part doesn't work, though - in Building_WorkTable_HeatPush, heatPerTickWhileWorking gets divided by 30, rather than multiplied, turning it into heat per 900 ticks!

Lighting doesn't affect surgery success chance. Cleanliness does. Your surgeries failed because your hospital is disgustingly filthy. Cleanliness is also why your pawn considers their bedroom "awful", and the hospital "hideous".

One problem with your base layout is that your bedrooms are also hallways. This makes people walk through them, making them dirtier in the process, and also gives a 'disturbed sleep' debuff to any pawn sleeping in the room. Bedrooms should really only have one door. And if you can't keep them clean, don't make them so big - a tiny, clean 2x2 room with nothing but a bed in it is good enough for a "dull" bedroom with no debuff (and if there aren't exterior walls in the bedrooms, you won't need a heater in each bedroom either).

You've also got a ton of doors in there. Your pawns have to stop to open each door they go through, making a maze of rooms connected with doors like that really slows them down (and a bunch of tiny rooms gives you the cramped space debuffs, you could tear down several of those walls and you'd have more room, more efficient, happier pawns, and you wouldn't need so many lights and heaters) The rock chunks have the same problem, they have to slow down to crawl past them. You don't need to micromanage to get these things cleared out; if your haulers & cleaners can't keep up, then stop assigning them more work to do, slow your expansion until they can keep up. If your pawns are more productive because they aren't miserable and there's not garbage in their way, the pause will pay off quickly.

While 'colonist died' is only -3 :D

That's more like 'Colonist freed from this hellhole without me -3'
