Ludeon has done a lot of hiring.  No, they are not sitting on their thumbs.

I think it's far more likely to be expansions/more DLC than "RimWorld 2".

ppl justifying something using real world as an argument makes no sense
Except OP is attempting to do exactly that, as well =).

Notably plasma, while it can start fires if hot enough – which it doesn't have to be – is not flame.  Not even close, in fact!

Your pyro knows more physics than you do ^^' .

General Discussion / Re: The Problem With Royalty
September 24, 2020, 10:23:58 PM
I really don't think it's all that unrealistic.
  • Unless you plan to sterilize the surface, the ship(s) can't do much from orbit.
  • You don't know how many ships/personnel the Empire has in orbit.
  • There's no centralized government to assault; you pretty much have to pacify the entire planet, piecemeal.
  • The inhabitants of the planet often have unpleasantly advanced weaponry.
So why not get the natives to do it all FOR you, at a lower cost and few Empire lives lost?  Seems pretty sound to me, if time is not a serious problem.

Note: I don't think your idea is bad at all but it makes perfect sense to me, that the Empire doesn't want to get bogged down *personally* on a barbarian world ^^'.

My guess is that he represents YOUR royalty.

It requires micro, but you can simply ban ALL beds, except the one you want, and wait for the pawn to move/be moved there, then unban them.  This is ofc also problematic with multiple downed pawns but it does work.

You are confusing chat/messaging clients with IRC (Internet Relay Chat).

Actually, all-caps is the *absolutely best* way to guarantee everything you say will be ignored, at best, and removed, at worst.  You simply have no idea what you're on about, obviously enough.

Perhaps you should consider your (complete lack of) success elsewhere, with this approach?

The point you are missing, is that IRL "quests"/requests very often DO NOT offer anything of worth, compared to the effort.  Anything otherwise means the world is tailored to you, personally.  Sorry, that's not even remotely realistic.

Wow, howzabout, 'No"?  How wonderfully offensive of you.

Try any tile with Boreal Forest in mountainous terrain, on any map.

By law, at least, that's actually directly legal (in the US) but I don't remember what RW's EULA had to say, if there was anything relevant.

Quote from: LuminousMushroom on August 13, 2020, 04:23:32 PMThe nearest solar system to our own is 80 lightyears away. Sure, there are solar systems out there that may be closer to each other, but not enough to justify the short age difference.
The nearest solar system with one or more planets in the "Goldilocks" zone is just about FOUR light years away, namely Proxima Centauri, part of the Alpha Centauri trinary system.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxima_Centauri_b

If you have a drive capable of *constant 1g acceleration* (important caveat), you will reach any destination, including the halfway-point "flipover" for deceleration, in roughly 1+{light years distance} years, objective time (to an external viewer).  Subjectively, it would be about 3.5 years (to an observer aboard the ship) to reach Proxima Centauri b, due to relativistic time dilation.

It's not trivial, of course, but is a LOT more doable than many people imagine.

GoG Galaxy lets you *turn off* autoupdates, for specific/single or all games.

Notably, RW has no actual DRM, and will run just fine from any folder.   Next time, *back up your RW folder*; if an update breaks a save, you can simply use the backup.
