McGrady's success at the raid puts him as the top candidate to be in charge. Will the engineers and the other survivors follow him? Or will he shoot them all first?
And yeah, probably shouldn't mess with the Boomrats.

If you've got a more interesting name for the colony than the ones I posted, put your ideas here. I'll choose from this thread and use that name for the rest of the storyline!

I intend to make this situation a plot point in my new story.
Pirates walking back to base, but they're walking funny.
"Where are your eyes??" asked Boss Panther.
"THEY TOOK THEMMMM!!!" screamed the returning pirates, their eye sockets covered in black eye patches.

'Boss Panther' McGrady is stuck on a Rimworld with a bunch of lousy pirates. War Comedy genre. Written from the perspective of the annoying pirates who constantly raid your settlements when you're trying to get married/finish assembling the spaceship/build the air conditioner during a heat wave.

Entry #1 summary: a lot of people in escape pods followed this chunk of ship down. We're stuck in the mountains, food is low, and there are bears all over the place. When there's lots of hungry people, guns, and a weak neolithic tribe nearby, tough decisions get made.

I'm trying to get a Let's Player to name his Faction "Wu-Tang Clan" and the community "The rugged lands of shaolin".

The vote is in. It's a tie! I honestly thought Caravan Tales would win. Well, I'll just choose one this weekend and get started.

On a related note, I remember reading on many news sites about solitary confinement (prolonged, I think) is now considered a torture method. So, if you want throw in extra realism, you could set up solitary prisoners to crack repeatedly after 3 days "in the hole".

We'll wait for Alpha 19 before you should code for "Prison Gangs", though I think in the base game, rival factions attack each other if members are in the same jail.

It was a...wait for it...pyroic victory. 

I made a joke about this in a short story series I wrote about the game.
In the epilogue, the colony gets wrecked when 300 infested terrans swarm the base.

Modmakers might want to set the number of enemies to a reasonable level/strength, otherwise 1 Ultralisk means a colony wipeout.

I saw a few episodes. So far, so good!
BTW, a few videos had a bit of static in the voice, so check your mike connections.

With the posting of today's chapter, my first Rimworld story is complete.
I have no plans to return to that storyline, since Spoiler Alert Everyone at the colony died when the player foolishly installed the Starcraft mod and the colony got swarmed by 300 infested terrans.

I got over 1000 reads of that story, which I am quite thankful for every reader that came by my Wattpad page. I wrote that story with A15 in mind and I had the outline banked out before A16 posted.
Now with A16 out, I see potential for many stories. But I only have time to really focus on one idea.
So I'll let you, fans of the game, decide the next story.  This poll will run for 30 days. At the end of the poll, the results will be released and I will start working on the chosen story. The first chapter will be up the first week in April.
Like my completed one, it will post one chapter a week, until the story's conclusion. You should expect over 10 chapters for each story.

Mod makers: If you want me to feature your mod in my story, please post a link to your mod's Workshop/explanation page and I'll see what I can do with it. Videos of people playing the mod would be helpful as well.

I bet the player now regrets adding all those mods without reading the release notes!
